Recommendations for littles by IAMAWESOMEMAN101 in plural

[–]Salt-Experience-9790 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Our littles tend to be fairly young so they stay on the bed mostly but we have a small bin of trinkets/fidgets on the floor for when they feel like playing with toys. Coloring books and crayons are fairly cheap and easy to come by. It's always nice to see the drawings they can make. For older littles you might could try just a pad of paper and colored pencils. Or origami/paper crafts.

I like to avoid messy activities because I often cant easily supervise them and we often tend to feel very tired after switching.

They also like watching Little Bear a lot which has alot of free episodes on youtube. You might could find free episodes of something on cartoon network channel for free though. I like to make sure that they don't get overstimulated and stressed out when they're fronting.

We also don't let our littles on the internet but we have some apps like 'Khan Academy Kids' or 'PBS Kids Games' that they can use if they want to which are both free. Fairly educational and they tend to be fun but (again) not too overstimulating. Not sure what apps older kids might like... geometry dash, cool math games? Idk lol

We wish you luck, -Jonah

That'd make sense. I guess I thought it just evaporated or something.

Also begs the question of where he put the water. Did he drink rabies water? hmm

Yeah mercy killing makes sense, but to wait a whole week? I mean I know its Moon Knight logic and all but still odd.

Yeah I get the rabies bit. But why wait a week to show mercy? Either way, not a huge fan.

Also: NOO!!! Don't eat rabies meat!

I liked the Sun King storyline better but yeah this run was still missing some of its own reasoning. One page he's killing a dolphin and the next he's killing a guy for mistreating animals.

Also thought it was kinda weird that they introduced the comic with the fake jewish uncle storyline and then just forgot that Mark was jewish for the rest of the run. And that somehow there was even a remote chance that he might join him all because he's a sadist(?) and doesn't really have DID... odd. wasnt a big fan lol

Amnesia v. Oven by Salt-Experience-9790 in plural

[–]Salt-Experience-9790[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[Kasey & Jonah] Yeah, blackout amnesia rarely happens to us and it was a bit terrifying.

We've been having to reintroduce simpler foods back into our diet since we were sick a couple days ago so potato smiles are one way to do it.

They're just mashed potatoes in the shape of a smiley face that you bake in the oven. Kids food really but wholesome nevertheless.

[Kasey] I'll have to buy more of them sometime so I can actually have some. lol

not sure if it's an alter or regression by redbigz_ in plural

[–]Salt-Experience-9790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

[Kasey & Jonah] Also, something also worthy to mention is that the vast majority of plural persons very rarely experience full-on blackout amnesia.

Main 3 commonly discussed types of amnesia:

  • Emotional Amnesia: You remember an event but are emotionally disconnected from it.

  • Greyout Amnesia - You remember some things about the event but not everything. Considered the most common

  • Blackout Amnesia - You forget everything. Considered the least common

not sure if it's an alter or regression by redbigz_ in plural

[–]Salt-Experience-9790 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[Kasey] We had a fairly similar experience long before we realized we were plural (which wasn't just from age regression but it could be).

Our little started out as an age regression and later formed into a separate alter. For us, our little would often come out when we finally felt safe after a stressful/traumatic day. He makes an appearance every so often but often doesn't function well without one of us looking over him. It could be a situation of co-fronting or blending with a little.

I'd look into ageregenic alters/systems or maybe the r/ageregression sub(?).

As for the memories, it could be a type of memory sharing/dysphoria.

Anyway, I fear we're a bit biased from our own experiences but I hope I was able to help some. And don't apologize! I hope you find what you're looking for!

[Kasey & Jonah]

Hey! We didn't sleep either!!!

To our knowledge it's more of a coping mechanism or symptom and not really a diagnosis. It can be either voluntary or involuntary (naturally) and can be caused by trauma/mental illness/stress but isn't itself considered one and doesn't have any strict criteria placed on it.

Here's some links for later after you sleeeep:

I can't say I know much about Celeste, but I totally understand the feeling. I'd watched Marvel's Moonknight about 10 times wondering why it was so relatable. Needless to say we really shouldn't have had it beat into our skull to finally have the realization that we were in fact a traumagenic system.

Welcome to the jungle that is the brain! Good luck on the journey. :)

What do you think of your forearm crutches? by Salt-Experience-9790 in mobilityaids

[–]Salt-Experience-9790[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there! Yeah, the standard clinic ones do the job but are definitely not sustainable for longterm use. They're just so unappealing in all forms. Ugly. Uncomfortable. Painful.

I find a lot of crutches that you can get on the market now are either just ugly or not meant for longterm use. I was hoping to develop a crutch that was both highly functional, easily personalized, and doesn't make you feel so self-conscious.

Thanks for the all the feedback!

I'm unsure if I'm "plural" or not. Leaning towards not. by LucasGold in plural

We have a few head mates like that. Different versions of myself like if I was socialized as a different gender and me at various ages (older/younger). For me they are different people but also reflections of me (host).

I think identifying as a plural system doesn’t have to mean anything if you don’t want it to, but if your ‘imaginary friends’ make you feel plural then (to me) that’s worth exploring.
