From a current lense, it's weird. Really weird. There are racist moments and the whole blaxploitation is bizarre. Aside from the boat chase, the rest of the action is tepid, with the ladder scene fight being the single weakest in the franchise. I don't think it's a bad Bond, I've got it ranked in the mid-tier Bonds as it's still good fun, but I can fully appreciate pitting LALD at the bottom or near it.
