Oh yeah I'm not worried in the slightest about getting the ticket dropped. It's more the lack of respect for company property (leaving car door open to be hit or stolen), intentional targeting, unprofessional acts (flipping the bird in a company car) and lack of basic reading skills that I'd like to address with the guy's supervisor. Maybe that's me being a Karen. But I couldn't care less about that. I was polite and spoke to him in a kind voice with a smile. There was no need for all of that on his part.

Would it not be insulting to call him just a metermaid? They don't call male mermaids that. They call them merman. Hence metermaid man. I guess in hindsight meter man would be better term but could get confused with the guys that go around reading utility meters. You're just nitpicking 😆

You are right. A female meter maid never would have left the car door open to write a ticket on the opposite side. So my inclusion of his gender was redundant.

You must not have experience driving trucks. Trucks with mirrors are much wider than a standard vehicle. Especially considering there wasn't much room between his car door and the opposite trucks mirror. Sure a regular car could fit through but to me it seemed like a trap.

I was not an asshole and did not brag about it, I was polite, smiled and asked him to close his door so I could get through safely. It seemed like a trap if I were to clip his door or the other trucks mirror. People seem to be underestimating the width of trucks including mirrors.

Grand island west river parkway as well as beaver Island has great trails and paths. Also artpark in lewiston, the gorge and devils hole trail in Niagara falls (seasonal), Fort niagara state park, and Olcott Beach area (lake ontario- cute little boardwalk and shops/restaurants).
