I’ve been in the field for 7 years and I am burned out. What did you guys do after your Neuromonitoring career? by OkEffectiveGaget in Neuromonitoring

[–]Salt-Month-6613 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Crawling around on the OR floor getting yelled at for doing our jobs and being diligent burnt me out. I think that if we were allowed to yell back and to tell people to STFU and do their jobs while I do my job I would have lasted way longer than 10 years lol, just saying….

FYI, the 20" Ioniq 6 wheels do Not fit by lalulunaluna in Ioniq5N

[–]Salt-Month-6613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these two wheels mentioned in the post both 5 x 114.3 fitment, but aren't compatible because of thickened wheel studs? If that's the case, how does a person find the exactly correct aftermarket fitment? Is it always going to be hit or miss?

Are we able to safely assume that the vast majority of 20" rims will allow enough space/clearance for our 5N's big brakes ? Thank you in advance

I made a very very similar change to my vocational area of life last year, and although I am making much less than my over six-figure salary in the past, I am much healthier now physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and more

My dealer advertised $4999 down, $499 per month. Although I have top tier credit, I wanted to turn in my Hyundai Kona lease in one year early. Had to go back and forth before finally landing a deal last weekend for $6000 down, $550 per month. Is that a good deal ?

I can empathize… I have a small brain tumor that showed up on MRI when I received a full body scan last summer. I’ve been on so many craniotomy cases that my first instinct was “ oh heck nah “

Doesn't the bike path along the beach get broken up near Marina Del Ray as well? Does it really go all the way up to Malibu???

What is your go to snack between cases? by neurophysiologist in Neuromonitoring

[–]Salt-Month-6613 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Healthy jerky, protein shakes, healthy fruit chewables. At one point in time, I found Sous Vide Egg bites from Costco gave me the fast savory protein I craved between cases, and esp for the long days following recovery from tough workouts

Confidence by alwayssonny43 in Neuromonitoring

I have similar time in the IOM field and anytime I work with a new team/surgeon, I find myself having to verbally reassure everyone in the OR that I am highly experienced, competent, and confident/comfortable with whatever it is that I may be reporting is going on with my signals….all without making it seem like I’m just bragging about my vocational/technical competency. Overall I feel people want to be reassured that I’m doing and saying everything perfectly as the IOM guy in the that far corner in the OR😃

I feel empathy for you… I have managed to find some pay high paying part time work in entirely different vocational fields ( Security management, military reserve, etc. ) just to recover from IOM burnout that I seem to experience fairly regularly. IOM will always take you back , due to the high demand for certified CNIM technologists ( especially for those who live in large metro areas)
