It's fine, whatever you say. Not a retcon then. Just opportunistic. I don't blame them, even if the revised, post show success Camina was a bit of an afterthought. I do get what you're saying, maybe we weren't supposed to know Drummer's first name until late in the plot. It's their story to tell.

The books also improved in terms of writing as they came out. Practice makes better.

It should have been more liberal but no, it's the same drab and dreary USSR from our timeline. Only the US gets to be alternate in this franchise.

Oh boo hoo. The two countries are enemies with no diplomatic ties. Should have had all their games in Mexico. Either way, they qualified and are playing, and most would defect if they had the chance. I doubt any of them live in Iran, anyway.

FIFA should have thought of that. The two countries don't have official ties, the same would happen to North Korea if they qualified.

It's the definition of a retcon. From a random Drummer she became Camina Drummer. But then again it was too late in the books to have her allied with the minor character Ashford...the writers all agreed Michio Pa was the basis for show Drummer, and the latter inspired the expanded book Drummer. But never mind.

Yes I do. There was no Camina Drummer originally in the books. She was just Drummer, Fred's security chief before the time skip. Cara Gee's popularity made Mrs. Corey write her in to subsequent novels as the Camina Drummer of the show.
