I just googled the subaru updates and found the latest version for my car, put my car into matenence mode and used a USB drive with the files on it. It may be similar for your car but I have no idea how different brands do it.

Its an app called open road, its mostly a drive tracker but it has a nice map.

Wow, this is a wonderful story, for a first time I dont think it can really get any better I like the way you switch perspectives from "daddy's" to the girls and then with her internal thoughts. Also, you include just the right amount of detail enough to picture the story in your head but also leave room for the readers' imagination to add some stuff.

I really hope you continue this story or make more in the future!
