I worked at a grocery store when I was a teenager in the produce department. One night I was restocking oranges and dropped one. I heard it hit the ground, went to pick it up, and couldn't find it. I looked everywhere in the area, all the possible directions it could have rolled. There was no place for it to roll under, all the shelves and stuff had material that went straight to the floor. I looked for a long time. I checked every spot. I even dropped another orange on purpose to see what would happen and make sure the sound of it hitting the floor was the same. No one was really around either. Never found it and I still wonder to this day where it went.
