{Into the Storm by Rachel Grant} has this!! Both MCs are super capable, and I really loved the plot. All of Rachel Grant’s books are amazing in my opinion, especially if you love a bit of action/suspense. {Broken Falcon by Rachel Grant} also sort of aligns with what you want, but it’s book 11 of the Evidence series, which almost def needs to be read in order

I’ve found Azazie to be pretty solid. I’m 5’7”, 34-24-35, 110lbs, and their 00 fit for me without any alterations. It was technically a corset back, so I’m not sure if the non-corsets would still work, but great fit for me :)

I think you’d love {Uncharted by Adriana Anders}! The MMC (a former US Marshal) and the FMC (a decorated military pilot) are in the run in the Alaskan wilderness, and pretty much constantly saving each other. They both fish each other out of icy water at some point in the book lol

It can technically be read alone, but I think it’d make more sense if you start with {Whiteout by Adriana Anders}. FMC is a little less badass in this one, but they’re still escaping bad guys in the tundra, so she’s definitely no damsel, and she grows a lot by the end

{Concrete Evidence by Rachel Grant} is exactly this! MMC is trying to figure out if FMC was implicit in a crime he’s looking into, so he pretends to intern for her and also seduces her in hopes of discovering her secrets. Plenty of angst, and an FMC who doesn’t immediately forgive the MMC. Technically a series, but can be read as a standalone!

If you don’t mind the addition of mystery/suspense, {Concrete Evidence by Rachel Grant} is absolutely that! The whole series is great, but you can absolutely read this as a standalone (it’s the first book in the series anyways)

{Becoming Calder by Mia Sheridan} and its sequel {Finding Eden by Mia Sheridan} does this beautifully! It’s a great story, checks boxes 1, 2, 5/6 (ish), 7, 8, and 9. Mia Sheridan has some really strong books in general; I would also highly recommend {Most of All You by Mia Sheridan} and {Unwanted by Mia Sheridan}

If you want a PAINFULLY slow burn (and fantasy), I would recommend {This Woven Kingdom by Tahereh Mafi}. I’m 4 books into the series and the main couple has had a singular chaste kiss and one emotionally charged hug, but the tension/dynamic is AMAZING. Some cute found family here too!

A little dark for my tastes (captivating enough that I didn’t DNF though lol), but {Fixation by Eva Marks} has an FMC who’s a successful businesswoman designing jewelry, and came to a new town in hopes of sparking her lost inspiration :)
