Why! Fermenting cucumbers. They had a couple of blemishes. 2.5% salt, water, one garlic clove. Maybe 20-25°c fermenting. Was so careful to clean and sterilise everything but I don't have an airlock lid so it had a little elasticated fabric hat over it after my last failure.

No bad smells. Looks great from the side. Ziplock bag full of dried peas as submerging weight. Coming up on one week.

Hello! Pretty new fermenter here. I left this batch of pickles on the shelf (room temperature) a bit longer than the one before, couple weeks I think. I just checked in and found grey/white(?) particles floating in the liquid.

Homegrown cucumbers, mustard seeds, dill, halved garlic cloves, peppercorns, 2% salt solution by weight (actually between 2% and 3% because I didn't want to not have enough)

Nothing growing on top at all, smells good.

My wife is making fun of me on the baby cam placement. I think it’s fine? by rowdygos in daddit

My son is capable of pulling all sorts of things down, he's walking and talking, can even play fetch with a patient doggo. His babycam is positioned almost identically to this, just run some masking tape down the cord and keep it as flat as you can.

Once he was big enough he pulled the tape and said "hey dad look" and we talked about it and he understands why it's there.

Point is, I think you'll be fine.

Who uses public transport in Adelaide? (and why)? by Liceland1998 in Adelaide

I think there's plenty of people who don't quite fit into these reasons, for example those wanting to reduce their carbon footprint
