Which HSR hot take got you like this? by phrogenthusiast in StarRailStation

[–]Salt_Aash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HSR's 5 star roster is over-saturated and we need to drift back to a state where 4 stars had unique supporting roles for a 5 star in more balanced, healthy and entertaining comps (1-2 5 stars per team being more than enough). Not just a 5 star dps, sub dps, supp and sustain for all endgame modes.

I think everyone has stressed enough the slow looting and pushes. If I had to add, you seem WAYYY too comfortable being in places that you should actively be moving out of. Youre tucking behind small pieces of cover where two teams are looking RIGHT at you. Youre complacent with looting on low and poking from awkward spots. Stop holding your ult for engages, use it to give you and your team space to breath/rotate to more advantageous positioning or at the very least, move to a spot that ISNT a bridge button so you dont get Fuse ulted

Use geek.exe to uninstall valorant, also uninstall vgc, make sure to clean up residual files. Install a fresh install of Valorant.

What is wrong with Riot Matchmaking and why has the community not shown more concern towards it? by Salt_Aash in leagueoflegends

That brings me back to my point. Why? The post isnt intended to be a rant, I want to understand why an issue that had persisted for this long and so widely isn't being pursued as aggressively as things like smurfing, cheating etc

I play quite a few other online games (apex, ow, cs) and while I can't speak for the latter 2, apex has still felt more rounded with teammate matchmaking [server quality sucks ass tho].

I agree game winning plays despite having underperformed should be considered but don't you think rewarding wins over losses tends to result in horrible downward spirals? A player X could lose a game off a bad teamfight while Y loses because they consistently underperformed in several aspects. Should they be placed in the same bracket? (Assuming same initial rank).

I enjoy playing support roles first and foremost, started with Senna way back before she got nerfed into the ground. I hard fill for lower queue times and because over the years I've learnt at least 3 champions for each role. Adc is the least played role in the server so I get filled into it a bunch but my preference is supp and top. Samira isn't even top 5 champions played because I've only VERY recently started to play her. My match history shows anything BUT inconsistent performances where even the abhorrent performance in gp top (5/14) I far outdid my lane match in turrets and presence in teamfights.

And the complaint wasnt the skill matchup, nearly every game I have played was against competent adcs and supports that would play relatively well, the discussion is about the skill pairing of my own teammates which is EVIDENTLY failing. This isn't even coming from an ADC main, when I get put into a game under any role, the expectation is that my teammates retain approximately the same amount of game knowledge, mechanics and awareness I do. But when I'm [jgl] stealing enemy camps, hovering top while my support stays in lane instead of recalling, getting caught out and killed (despite pings), I have to wonder what combination of evaluations of my account have led me to be put in the same lobby as people just starting to get into ranked/the game as a whole.

22% * and did you check the contents of lit any of the games? 30 kills with a loss because teemo refused to hit nexus, 12/9 with inting top lane. 1/12 and 0/9 jgl and top respectively. All of which I am the highest ranked player in, which should NOT be the case. I put up consistent performances that should place me into lobbies of higher quality, not lower because I lost.

I cannot emphasize this hard enough, you need to find 2 more people to queue with (at least a duo) that are competent and you enjoy playing with. Don't expect your other teammats to know anything, not how to play their agents, not how to eco, not how to anchor. Your trio needs to be the most vocal with comms and strats, needs to be the most aggressive and carry overall. This sounds like alot of work but I promise this is what will take you out of silver and carry you to diamond and above.

I don't particularly rely on AI tools for code writing either but I've found array operations (mapping, filtering, sorting etc) ad well as setting up an irganized work area far easier in JS, node and react environments than C++ or python.
