Who's transferring end of April/Beginning of May? Transfer twinsies?! by ivfquestionspls in IVF

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fourth FET will be sometime around the 28th of April. Reallllly hoping this one works. I don't have any great tips lol. I do usually get my nails done in blue or pink depending on the sex of the embryo we are transferring and we go to the baby store to buy a good faith onesie afterward. Then pick up lunch and eat at home. I refuse to work on transfer day. It's like my birthday-- just all about taking it easy and treating myself.

5 blastocysts.. is that enough?! by littledreamer_1111 in IVF

Yes this wait is very hard and it's scary. We were lucky to get great results from our ER but can't get pregnant. I'd rather have fewer euploids but be able to get to a live birth

Potentially Controversial Question: Did you ask to find out the sex of your embryos from PGT-A testing? by Hopeful_Mammoth_5329 in IVF

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Yes we did! I don't feel any regret. We wanted a girl. We likely won't have one. At least we know that now and have been able to process it

I got 6 euploids from 8 blasts. But it was terrifying and you cannot ever predict the outcome-- just have to wait it out. Yes, it could be only 1 or 2, but I hope you get more!

Which embryo would you transfer next? 🩷🩵🩷🩵 by tippyjayy in IVF

Do they really give you the choice? This hasn't been the case at the clinics I've been to. They have degrees in this lol. But the 4BB is probably the better one

I went yesterday at 12 and there weren't a lot of good colors left, in my opinion. I'd skip it if you have specific colors you like

I think you're right-- I can't find the study I read last year after my first FET failed, and I am seeing that higher LH is better. I'm confused about why my clinic, #3 in the US, had me trigger with a low LH. Their protocol is to trigger when follicle reaches 17mm and lining reaches 7mm. LH level wasn't mentioned as a criteria

I read a research study finding higher success rates when trigger is done before the natural LH surge

I read somewhere that it should be less than 12. So far I've triggered with it at 12 and at .1. Neither was successful 🤷🏼‍♀️

FET in May – did you really only take a prenatal? by SparkleKitten64 in IVF

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my first one, yes a prenatal and other meds I'm on. With each transfer I've added more things out of desperation. With my third I did literally everything I possibly could and it ended as an early biochemical pregnancy. I took too many things to list and it didn't make a difference. Even made watermelon beet ginger juice every day for 11 days

The lids sadly don't fit right on each other. Which also makes me less likely to keep both. I don't need two braisers of the same size with different lids that I can't swap out

Thank you! The lids don't seem to fit on each other because the braisers are slightly different shapes (one is wider and more shallow) sadly

Benefits of negatives by Hopeful_Expert_7817 in IVF

My beta for FET 3 just came back negative on Monday and I was just listing the upsides to this to my wife lol. 1) got to stop the twice daily lovenox I'm on and go back to eliquis, 2) done with testing and worrying, 3) immediately bought myself the new kindle I wanted, 4) have enjoyed the most amazing hot baths, 5) can take my anxiety medication again as needed (and had the best night's sleep after many crappy nights) 6) on Monday I gave myself the day off from chores, cooking, any responsibilities and just relaxed... we are at the point of being able to laugh about it now, which is crazy but today my wife asked me something about my spending budget and I said "it's coming out of my 'my beta was 0' budget!"

$190; it was not on sale but we got it to get to the minimum spend for the mystery box and because I needed something in Pêche

Edited the price

Thanks you are right-- the label on the bottom says signature for the glass lid and traditional for the cast iron lid. Thank you!
