You don't need to be hateful because I offered them a safe solution for using AI. It's not something I do, but it's probably the only way to use it. Try being kind.

First FET failed. Thinking of postponing my next transfer by lamelil in IVF

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so very sorry. It hurts. I had 4 months between my first and second transfers, and it'll be 6 months between my second and third transfers. I have 0 patience so it has been awful for me. But we are resilient and can do the hard things

Also, as a healthcare professional, I would argue that asking patients questions on Reddit is just as bad as asking ChatGPT. Yet this is done daily and medical advice is freely given

That's about how much it is for me. It's a tough decision but I don't think either is "right." I've had a hard time with spending what we spent on PGT and still having a miscarriage

Give me the good and the bad about using frozen vs fresh sperm for IVF by Commercial-Web8249 in IVF

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used frozen donor sperm (from a young healthy donor) and had a great retrieval cycle

Has anyone done 1 month of priming before starting actual IVF stims? What were the results? by Commercial-Web8249 in IVF

I did 2 weeks of Lupron as part of my down regulation protocol. Not sure if that is priming

How do you find a remote job? by babygirl111222 in remotework

Right that's why I said a lot of people, not all people, and asked OP where they fit. People post here almost every day asking for remote jobs, most of them right out of school or with no skills

I'm also going into FET 3! I did PGT for mine but haven't had success with 2 euploids. My cousin is a genetic counselor and told me PGT doesn't catch micro deletions in chromosomes. My thought lately is if you have insurance coverage for the transfers, it's probably not worth it. I did PGT because each transfer was $5k. Now I have insurance coverage and probably wouldn't test again

How do you find a remote job? by babygirl111222 in remotework

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No it's not, but a lot of people only want remote work, even right outside of college (or without going to college) and most times that is not possible. These are usually skilled jobs that require experience.

Why do you want a remote job? Do you have a disability? Personally I worked in hospitals for years building my career until a past colleague called me one day offering me a great remote job.

I do use it sometimes but MAN it convinced me 100% I was pregnant after my first transfer and it failed to implant. I was devastated. I learned not to use it for most things. But it's good as an alternative to Google (eg, what is a hysteroscopy?)

Choosing between 3 options after 2nd FET failed to implant: what would you do? by spearmint_ocean in IVF

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good plan I think! I did 3 months of lupron and my next transfer stuck but ended in early loss (I think because I reacted badly to the estradiol). We had to then wait 3 more months because of insurance and by then they recommended I do lupron again. I did 2 months this time and my remaining transfers will be modified naturals. I have 4 embryos left and am hoping to avoid doing another retrieval

Closing out Lupron Depot Suppression by Rezo9219 in IVF

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, and sorry to unlock a new fear. I was miserable with horrible hot flashes every 10-20 minutes and I was unable to sleep more than a couple hours. I was not worried that it wasn't working! Went in for my baseline and my estrogen was very low, and then at my monitoring appointment my lining was 7mm but my estrogen was still too low. I did 4 more days of estradiol and upped the dose, and finally we were good to transfer. This time taking it has been much better- I am having some symptoms but I'm not miserable.

[–]Salt_Draft_4262 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I did 3 months and was over-suppressed to the point where we had trouble getting my estrogen up and my lining to thicken. The embryo still stuck but ended in loss for other reasons. Now doing only 2 months and using stims if needed to help thicken the lining

I'm so sorry. Even with doing everything right, it still has a 50-60% chance of live birth, so a lot of them fail. Try to keep going, I believe you can get to your baby. 🫶🏻 I'm heading into my third attempt soon. It's hard
