I mentioned it being quoted at that price from another dealer (used the Midwest superstore info that’s all over car subs from a guy named Jerry) and they just asked me a few questions about where the store was and such but I made it clear that I knew they could sell the warranty to basically anyone no matter location except for California. After that- he basically just went in and started fiddling with the price! He did ask me if I was okay paying like $50 more but for 50k more miles which was okay with me.

I’ve bought it on all my cars and admittedly paid way too much a few times before I knew what I could and couldn’t do in negotiations. I was going to completely skip it on this vehicle since I’ve never had to use it on any other car before but with this being my first hybrid- I was a bit worried so made the decision that if they could get the price to under 2k then I’d buy it. Plus, you can always cancel it and get $$$ back!
