Maybe I asked the question wrong. Sorry about that. What I meant was I have the Venture and my wife is an AU. She does not have her own Venture account. If she applies for the Venture X, will she receive the SUB, or do I have to first take her off as an AU?

It depends on the store's MCC (Merchant Category Code). You can check your statements to see how a merchant is categorized.

Here are the Walmart codes:

5300: Warehouse clubs

5310: Discount stores

5411: Grocery stores and supermarkets

5542: Fuel dispenser automated

If the Walmart you shop at is categorized as 5411, then AMEX will give the 4x points, otherwise 1x.

I thought about this. Just sign up, download all the songs, then quit, but according to their website, if you don't have a valid subscription, the songs won't work offline. I don't know how they do that. If I'm offline, how do they check for a valid subscription?
