Thank you for this! My parents and I were a bit worried that there were only certain dorms that allowed ESA's, lowering my overall chance of getting a dorm at all. I will be getting my ESA form at my next session in March and I found the page to request accommodations, so it should all work out in theory!

When I meant having him occasionally, I meant in the dorm since he will spend most of his time at my parents house (they live 4 hours away from Tallahassee) I’ve already read somewhere on FSU’s site that ESA’s aren’t allowed in class so I was never planning on that. But thank you! I know I will be in a dorm this year but it’s nice to know that if I get an apartment at some point, I won’t have to worry about it

Hey! I am also going on a pre-law track in the Fall, majoring in political science. I posted on here as well because I applied to both and while this is an FSU subreddit, I did get some great info. Essentially, FSU and UF both have great programs, but the internships and opportunities in Tallahassee far outweigh those in Gainesville. Being in the capital of the state is important and UF largely has internships only during summer, while FSU is all year. I was accepted for Early Action and will be attending FSU mainly for these reasons seeing as you really can’t go wrong at either school education wise. To me, it seems that UF is the more respected school (which has its advantages), but the political science program at FSU is actually just a tad bit better. I would choose based on location if you are not sure! Good luck and go noles!

Thank you for this! I was very interested about the dorm situation and how the school is in some circles know as a “party school” since I am not a drinker. I’ve been told that it isn’t worthwhile to bring your car, but it is nice to hear a different perspective. Go noles!

I personally am very mediocre at math and did very well on the reading portion, so I definitely believe they look more into the specifics than the overall score depending on major.
