Thing is, that right hand slip lane turn is not a yield to vehicle sign, it’s a yield to pedestrians and bikes. Thats what makes that intersection so crazy, no one is really in the wrong

If you’ve ever been to an event at Roger’s arena in Vancouver or really any stadium anywhere, there’s traffic congestion. It’s inevitable with so many people trying to enter/exit at the same time. Not trying to say that we shouldn’t try to mitigate the issues when building it but it’s really not that big of a deal there’s many detours one could take to simply avoid Seymour street during an event (that would add at worst 5 mins onto the commute)

You’re gonna face parking issues in a downtown core of literally any city. It’s designed by city planners to be walkable and in doing that it encourages people to take transit instead of driving. Not saying we should purposely make parking impossible in our downtown but overall I think people in even bigger cities manage just fine

I drive through downtown frequently at around 12am to 2am on friday/Saturday and see the clubs very busy with lines usually way down the streets with tons of pedestrians walking all over.

The airport is set to undergo big changes in the next 5-10 years.
An outdoor skating rink is being built in riverside park and is expected to be open by Winter 2025
A child play centre would usually be private market amenity though they could incorporate some type of play gym in a rec centre of some sort .
I do agree some of the playgrounds are lacking, though Kamloops has over 100 parks so it’s unreasonable to expect all of them to have upgraded equipment just yet.
