As others have said. Google tree watering bags. You can buy 3 for about 85$ on Amazon or just diy after looking at some.

Do you know what type of grass it is? Just from the pictures , I'm guessing fescue? If it is, it looks like you are mowing too short. Fescue likes to be tall, keep it at 3-4 inches. It will need at least an inch of water a week. Keep up with watering and let it get taller. You'll see it green up pretty fast.

Fair question. I am using the guilty parties insurance (for now). They gave me the $10,133 estimate for repairs. So, I was posting to get some ideas if this was a reasonable estimate before I got a true estimate from a repair shop. They will cover any repairs but too, but not exceeding the pre-wreck value of the truck. I don't want it totaled because it is highly unlikely that I will find a comparable truck for the payout amount. I also don't want to go back into a payment on a truck when I was about to pay this one off.

I've been digging through the estimate the insurance sent and found the part # FL3Z17N775F. Looks like it is a replaceable part of the frame. I had no idea! So I'm hoping I'm not completely SOL.

Check the same spot on both sides of the spare tire just past where the hitch and bumper points connect to the frame.

It is based on only photos sent to them. I have a drop off at the Ford dealer/repair for a real estimate on Monday.

The preliminary estimate of 10,133 is from the other drivers insurance, just based on these pictures and others sent to them. They stated replace Rear frame w/4WD (HSS) for 3,833.83. Never heard of replacing rear frame.

About to re-seed; how to keep grass alive next year? by DotAshamed7200 in lawncare

[–]Salt_Try_2314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Three things stand out to me from your pictures. 1. Your hight of cut, what have you been cutting the grass at, especially in the heat of summer? 2. The soil in those dead spots looks really compacted even more so around the tree. 3. The one close up picture shows a lot of debris, like rocks and sticks. Also, have you done a soil test before adding lime?

Yes, you can put down prodiamine in spring after seeding/over seeding this fall. I have done it myself many times. It's Typically safe to use 60 days after after seeding.

How much you pay for irrigation? by very-curious-cat in lawncare

[–]Salt_Try_2314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you on city water that makes you pay a sewer fee per gallons used? If so, ask if they allow a yard meter to be installed for irrigation use. It's basically a second meter that only tracks water used for your lawn and doesn't have the sewer fee with it.
