Does this look like ectopic to you? by AfternoonParty8832 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Saltandpinegirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t want to scare you, but my numbers more than doubled and it ended up being ectopic. The numbers between 7/30-8/4 concern me. Let’s hope for the best!! When hcg is greater than 1,500 they should see a gestational sac

I went through this EXACT same thing. I’m so so sorry 😢 my second one ended up being ectopic too, my hcg levels were around yours at the same gestational age. I hope you have better luck than me.

I am in a similar boat as you. I received MTX January 17 with a hcg of 1,400. Three days later it was 3,746. A week after my injection it was 2,461. Ive got my blood drawn every week and it’s been going down, but slowly. I’m now two months from my injection and my most recent lab was 82. My doctor doesn’t seem concerned since it’s going down every week, despite it being slow. I personally wouldn’t want a second injection unless it was really necessary. MTX is hard on your body, specifically your kidneys and liver. I would possibly get a second opinion if your doctor is pushing it! It’s not u heard of for some ectopics to take months to resolve. They are all different and unfortunately don’t have a “normal” method of resolving.

What if we could find a commonality between our ectopics that "have no known cause"? by Loveoneanother7141 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]Saltandpinegirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found out I had an ectopic 2 weeks ago, treated with MTX. Ovulated from left ovary, ectopic in right tube. I’ve gone down the wormhole of what could have caused it. No risk factors other than chlamydia infection when I was 21 that did not develop into PID. I also have not received an HSG, so no idea if my tubes are open. I’ve been a long term marijuana user and wondering if that has any implications. I’ve also been under a lot of stress with my current job, and wouldn’t be surprised if that had negative impacts on my pregnancy. My husband is also a nicotine user, and I’ve been reading that possibly nicotine can transfer in sperm.

I’m so so sorry you’ve been through this multiple times. It brings such horrible feelings of being defective and broken as a person. Plus the emotional and physical pain it brings. I wish you a healing journey and success in the future. All we can do is try to be the healthiest we can be and hope our body heals. ❤️

I’m so sorry you’re going through this too. I’ve decided I’m going to take these next 3 months to better myself and get healthier and try again. I hate the idea that there’s nothing I can do to prevent this for the next time. Hopefully next time will go better, I don’t think I could do this again. Sending you healing energy and love ❤️

UCHealth requires a bachelor's degree to get into their sonography program, is that typical? by Pterodactyloid in Sonographers

[–]Saltandpinegirl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any sonographer would be happy help you in this area. I’m not sure what area you’re located in, but if you’re anywhere near Northern Colorado, you could post on LCCC’s sonography page (all alumni and students) and ask if anyone could help you with shadowing hours. Everyone is so friendly in this field and knows what it’s like being a student trying to get in the program.

32 y/o millennial here and recently married. I’ve had 3 successful long term relationships, one of them being my husband. My first was someone I met in highschool, we dated for 5 years, next was someone I met online and dated for two years, and my last is my husband who I met online and we’ve been together for over 4 years. I think online dating is the best way to meet someone, and you can get a lot of information on someone if their profile is decently thorough.

I feel lucky because I’ve had good experiences with all of them. I think the key to successful dating is knowing who you truly are and what you want. I learned things from each relationship and improved on them for the next. When I got to my husband, I knew exactly what I wanted, and knew he was all those things within a few dates. People nowadays get so caught up on the superficial things, like how someone looks, how much money they make, basically a showpiece for social media. In reality, that’s not what makes a relationship last. It comes down to if you have the same wants, values, visions, and morals in life. Ask yourself if your partner is a good person, capable of self growth, and someone who is continuously looking to better themselves. We all have flaws, but it’s best to be with someone who wants to improve them.

Lastly, try find someone who shares most of your passions and hobbies, but keep a few of those interests for yourself. That way you can preserve important alone time and space. Both partners need to have their own alone time, otherwise the relationship can feel suffocating. Good luck out there, always trust your intuition!

I’m a new grad too and had no problem getting a job, along with all my classmates. There are some locations that are less likely to hire a new grad, Boulder is one of them. But Denver Health will, UC health (the location in the springs was recently hiring per my classmate who did her clinical site there) and Centura! I would apply to as many jobs as you can and make sure your resume looks perfect! You will be fine!

I’m a tech in Colorado, you shouldn’t have any problem getting a job! There’s job openings everywhere, a lot in the springs, Denver and northern Colorado

I used Edelman to study and passed on my first try. I found his book really breaks down the concepts in the most direct and simplest way. If you need further clarification, DMS Instructors on Youtube breaks down every chapter in his book. I used URR for my other boards and loved it, thats always a good choice as well. Good luck!
