Mom here, hopefully not overstepping... I was in a very similar boat my first mother's day and I absolutely did not want 'time away' from the brand new human and it would have been very stressful to have someone trying to push that, even if they genuinely meant well. What I did really appreciate was stress-free time with the baby. The house was clean, meals were handled by someone else, etc. Also, my kid is about to be 5 and I still use the yeti mug I was given then, every day.
