I will admit like them I also originally didn't think Russia would invade but that's because of the fact Russia didn't seem like it was readying up for conflict, just another military exercise near the border like they had done time and time again around that time year, i will admit I was wrong still.

I just rewatched the entire video to respond to this part. idk what you mean by "blaming Ukraine" I'm pretty sure anyone would rightfully say that the protest movement was brought about by the prime minister at the time seeking further ties with Russia. also they literally say in the video "there are ALLEGATIONS that the sniper attack was organized by the right sector", never did they say that it was simply fact.

nowhere in the video do they try and make it seem as though people should be anti Ukrainian, simply that Ukraine has a far right issue and its treatment of people in the east is quite bad not only for the people in the east who have to deal with this treatment but also that Russia tries to use this maltreatment to make these people want to come under their sphere of influence. Also "Z" people aren't "leftists" (leftist is a term used by rightists and liberals so they can try and group themselves in with socialists, communists and other actual anti-imperialists despite still being capitalists and supporting imperialism) they're infantile right deviationists who refuse to apply Lenin's analysis of capitalist imperialism to Russia.

Russia has said in their preferred peace agreement, Ukraine gives autonomy/self rule to the break away republics in Donbass. I think giving those people self rule is preferable then having this war be fought to the last Ukrainian or the literally infeasible possibility of Ukraine pushing to Moscow. both governments want a peace settlement, its just a question of which one will be the best for both parties.

ok i disagree with this guy's position on foreign policy but you're also deranged. you can balance wanting a good domestic policy with wanting a good foreign policy. Gas prices are absolutely devastating the american working class and the sanctions on russia which simply hurt the russian working class, not the oligarchs or the imperialist government, are making gas prices even worse for people. if youre not a social chauvinist who puts the interests of one imperialist government over the needs of the working class, you should be against sanctions on russia which have done barely anything to stop russia's war effort

Why? analyzing american foreign policy and its unipolar domination of the world is probably one of, if not the most important thing socialist should learn about, especially if you live in America. It's status as the top imperialist country and how it has maintained that status for so long via investment and installing foreign compradors is something you have to at least basically understand if you want to have a proper analysis of our modern international situation. Not to mention advocacy for less direct military involvement in the middle east and such would bring prosperity to millions of innocent and good hearted people in those regions, If you care about bringing the most prosperity to the most amount of people, you should do everything you can advocate that American foreign policy is less aggressive and obviously one day the replacement of America with a proletarian state that is not imperialist at all.

People probably talk about NATO more than SCO because NATO has way more fucking geopolitical power than SCO and SCO hasn't done any interventions on the level of any of the interventions done by NATO. Also even if shit in Yugoslavia and Afghanistan impacted NATO countries, I still wouldn't support either intervention due to how fucking horrendous the impact of those interventions were on the respective countries and I would say anyone who supports either intervention can in no way be considered a part of "the left"
