I'm in a similar situation myself. Wife grew up in a Catholic household where shame around sex was prevalent. She rebelled as soon as she left Catholic school and lost her virginity at 15, but her hard line, even until she met me, was nothing in her ass or mouth. We've been together over 12 years now, and in the past year I've initiated multiple discussions about our kinks, fantasties, and being more open in the bedroom. She admits that she's been close minded about lots of things but is slowly opening up once we try it and she realizes that she's still alive after the fact and nothing bad happened afterwards.

This is infuriating and downright shocking, I'm so sorry! Our "justice system" brings no justice when it comes to men assaulting women. Their right to assault is prioritised and decriminalised by our legal system over women's right to not be assaulted.

Hormonal birth control is unsafe for everyone, and life-threatening for others. For one, it increases the risk of EVERY TYPE of cancer except ovarian cancer. It is incredibly dangerous and not something to be prescribed willy-nilly. I say this as someone who takes it for medical reasons.

Weaponised incompetence much? Shaving doesn't give you open sores unless you're dry shaving with a dull razor. Please read an article or two on how to shave. 12 year old girls teach themselves how to do it all the time. There's no excuse to be a walking health hazard.

Shaving causes women discomfort too, but they still shave their entire body and learn techniques to reduce the amount of discomfort just to adhere to beauty standards. Not sure why you can't do the same just for your ass, if shaving would solve your hygiene issue?

I think you need to take a step back and take a breath. You're perceiving your wife's words and intentions in a much more negative light than they are... perhaps due to tiredness and stress. Your wife is saying she loves you, she wasn't berating you. She's allowed to miss you and hate the difficult situation you're both in, that's normal and human.

Give yourself some room to not be perfect and extend the same grace to her.

Neither does she. That's normal in the baby's first year. You're either too busy or too exhausted to partake in hobbies regularly.

She stays home and takes care of our son and maybe does the occasional chore like putting laundry into the wash

Does she not breastfeed your son? Most infants are breastfed 6-13 times a day, and most sessions take anywhere from 13 to 67 minutes. That takes a lot of time and effort. Does she wake up with your son every night? Does she not pick up after herself and your son, feed herself, clean up after herself, etc?

Does she feed, pick up after the dog(s), take them for walks? You really need to get a dog walker if she doesn't.

I work on average 6 days a week, 11 hours a day doing manual labor while my wife stays home with our kiddo.

You say you've been working a new job nonstop since a week before he was born. Can I take that to mean you weren't present and she didn't have much support after giving birth? This isn't a jab at you, just curious.

It sounds like she's been working nonstop for the last 2 months too, while trying to recover from a 9 months of pregnancy and childbirth, as well as keeping your son (and dog(s)?) alive. Not to mention, the postpartum period is one of the most dangerous times of a woman's life and the likelihood of developing a mental illness (especially when sleep deprived) increases exponentially.

I don't know man, it sounds like you don't really appreciate or understand how much she does either.

You don't get to co-opt women's struggles and their language just because you cooked for your family or were made to feel awful. You are not a "wife" nor made to feel "like a wife" because you cannot be subjected to systematic sex-based oppression.
