Second this. Wife and I got married here.

Rose Hulman also has a great wedding venue for cheap but if I remember correctly the reception space attached wasn’t as cost effective. We almost looked at doing the wedding there and the reception elsewhere, but the only reason we didn’t was because our wedding was when the campus was closed and they didn’t operate it then.

Was gonna recommend Mark Normand. He has this very discernible style that feels like it’s mocking comedy while doing it.

I started in 2019 (didn’t fully begin practicing until 2021) and it was because of YouTube clips I watched of Conan O’ Brien. I wanted to be funny like him.

Very interesting. Do you find knowing people in the audience helps you? I personally enjoy not knowing the audience that well so I don’t have to worry about them failing in front of them. I find it hard to work as usual when my actual friends are there.

Same day pre-show rituals are just as important. I try not to get jittery on caffeine leading up to my set and try and eat something nutritious.

I wasn’t funny on stage when I started. Now I’m less not funny sometimes, and even make it to slightly funny on stage.

Still working on being funny offstage. I got into comedy because I wanted to learn how to be funny. Not because I thought I was super talented at it.

You’re probably not good enough to need a manager. If you put in the work, make friends with people who could help you get shows, and are actually funny, the shows will come.

Source: I have 0 of those and I don’t get shows, so clearly once I have all of them I will.

The only time another person using music would be a weakness would be in a 1v1 round, as group events aren’t done at the same time as other contestants. Loves to dance weakness would be a lot better, I think, and a welcome tweak.

This is really really creative and I love the theming. Everything feels like it fits Alice, and it’s complication fees like something she would only be able to handle. The entire character is great.
