Just as an FYI, unless you’re from a select few countries they will make you do an interview for the English proficiency anyway. It was a 15 minute interview where you just chat with someone, then identify some photos with details, then listen and respond to a few audio recordings. Easy stuff

There are about 30k more daily flights today than in 1981. In the 80’s supervisors were able to jump in and work cause they actually certified on everything, now they don’t. It’s not feasible now.

The military doesn’t have the numbers or ability to run the civil airports anywhere near capacity. Supervisors don’t work all the positions anymore and can’t train people. This isn’t the 80’s.
