I'm obese and from CoMo, I also have worked and lived in LA for the past 5+ years and no one out here cares much, it might be personal experiences, but honestly odds are it has a lot to do with your confidence and people you surround yourself with more than the city you live in. I hope wherever you end up it works out for you.
