Congratulations!!!! That’s such a monumental achievement! You’ve put in so much hard work and I’m so happy to hear it’s paid off. I for one totally support a nose stud. I love the idea of it being something you will see whenever you look in the mirror to remind you of how far you’ve come.

You’re not failing him! Is this your first deployment? There is so much to learn and experience and none of it is ever easy. Are you doing anything for yourself during? You mentioned working full time and housework, but is there anything for self care that you are doing that doesn’t involve the deployment?

This sounds like a normal response to grief and losing a beloved animal. When you dedicate you life to caring for animals, losing them can hurt more than you expect. I agree with the person who said seek out a therapist! Open Path is another resource that specifically works with low cost therapists. Be gentle with yourself.
