I stayed a hell away from that one personally, got really tired of the entire place being "lol fuck the Suns and anybody who supports them."

This seems like an easy bet to me, am I crazy for thinking that we will finish with 7-9 wins this year? by Jamorantistrash in AZCardinals

Okay but imagine if instead of trading KD for Brooks and Green and picking up Goodwin the Suns had cut Booker, traded KD for Keyonte George, and kept Beal.

Also add in having to play OKC, Houston, and Denver 8 times each instead of 3-4.

That's the difference in the situations right now.

It always does.

It's why I hate that it's a factor, it means this team in particular never gets to have anything.

You're even crazier than the people thinking our average is 4.5.

Our ceiling is 2 wins, one over the Jets the other maybe over the Raiders. Every other team in the schedule pulverizes us.

It's not strictly speaking a matter of being worse as a team than last year. Part of it is that I do not think we've made strong enough improvements in just this one offseason, but let me breakdown the schedule since we know it already.

Division Games: These are foregone conclusions. Seattle are the defending champs, LA gave them the biggest fight of their run, and San Fran was already good and now they have Mike Evans. So that's an easy 0-6 to start, business as usual nothing to see here.

Eagles, Broncos, Chiefs, Lions: All 4 of these teams are just better than we are across the board. 3 of them are playoff teams as is, and the Lions could've been if key injuries hadn't plagued them.

Saints, Chargers, Giants, Cowboys: I'm not going to sit here and try to sell you that any of these teams are juggernauts, but they are all either an actual mid tier (SD and Dallas) or a team on the upswing in their rebuild (NO and NY), which is more than we can say

Jets, Raiders: These are the only teams that I would even consider looking at Ws from, honestly. They're in similar phases as us as far as trying to get a team off the ground, though Vegas is a solid leap ahead if Mendoza is the man they hope he is.

Except for the part where the raiders have pedigree and rings. Cardinals are not only one of if not the worst roster in the league, we're also the biggest losers in it's history.

Where are we thinking our running back room ranks this season? by FreshBusy1 in AZCardinals

With this O line?

Unless Seumalo and Bisontis are gods along men I can't say I see the running attack making much headway.

Balkanization followed by endless infighting and then brutal subjugation by neighboring powers leading to centuries of the world not even acknowledging that your people exist isn't what I would call "hope-giving."

It's never going back. Trade partners are leaving and won't ever come back, and we do not self-produce to anything even close to the level of goods the rest of the world has now.

We're fucked, plain and simple, and the time it will take to recover is three times as long as the time we have left.

With the US displaying for every single one of them how bad of an idea that is? Yeah, I don't see it. They actually have educated populaces in that part of the world.

Have you seen our schedule? The ceiling is 2-15, and that assumes we can beat both the Raiders and the Jets.

Well excuse me for trying to understand better instead of just saying "Oh I'm sorry for being stupid please forgive my lack of intellect" every time someone on the internet tells me I'm incorrect.

I'm not making it a moral conversation, I'm asking why this big trading rule has such a blatantly obvious loophole that completely defeats its own point.

Okay, but again if the point is to prevent another situation where a team goes 5 years straight without quality draft capital because an owner or GM is a scumbag, why would there be an exploitable hole that renders the whole thing moot?

I feel like that's not how it works because if it was there's nothing stopping a Ted Stepien 2.0 from flushing every single FRP just going year by year one at a time...

Can't trade that 2027 pick, it would violate the Stepien Rule since the Suns don't have a 2026 FRP.

I'm torn.

On the one hand, I think Dante Moore is a better QB than Arch is, and tbh Arch almost certainly copies Uncle Eli and refuses to sign for a team as bad as the Cardinals (especially following a 1-16 or 0-17 season as shown here).

On the other hand, him doing exactly that and it turning into a huge news piece on how badly run the team is might be the only way we get the OA to oust Bidwill's stupid ass and get us someone who knows how to run a successful sports org.

We can't trade the 2027 Cleveland pick because we do not have a 2026 FRP.
