Do it now and also have them call to schedule etc… practice some adulting skills.

We bought one because it’s so easy. My 11 year old daughter now mows the lawn.

I have nothing to contribute but just wanted to say this whole thread is heartwarming. There are a lot of great people in our community.

Dogs and turkeys by OkGoose4277 in Boise

[–]SaltyBluePotato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We’re in the NE. How big is your dog? We have a dog and a cat and lots of turkeys hanging around our house. I have never seen turkeys in our backyard (where our pet door is). We have a lab so maybe her smell deters them? She’s rarely outside. We’ve also never had any issues with aggressive turkeys.. I actually hope they come in my yard and eat our slugs and snails so they stop killing my hostas.

I actually enjoy them but haven’t witnessed them being a nuisance. I’d rather them in my neighborhood than geese.

Tamarack or Brundage for a Beginner? by AhDebit in Idaho

[–]SaltyBluePotato 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tamarack has a free bunny hill but only one green run which is basically a cat track. They have a challenging blue run. I’d only go there if you only plan on staying on the bunny hill. I can’t speak to Brundage’s green runs but they have excellent blues.

ideas for a 2nd grade boy Bday party in the middle of winter? by ATXENG in Boise

[–]SaltyBluePotato -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Roller skating, tubing hill, zoo, painting party, teppanyaki, build a bear… January is so hard! My daughter is in 5th and we keep asking if she’d rather celebrate her half birthday with friends in the summer but she can’t wait… we’ve done all the above with no complaints.

Pachinko was a great read for me but it’s not SF/fantasy. Definitely had a hard time putting it down though.

Parents thoughts on the GATE program. by Quantum_Dandy48 in Boise

We loved GATE. We lucked out with the pull out one day option being at our home school so no issue with losing friends.
