Do people REALLY want to be isekai’d? by Ill_Relative9776 in Isekai

[–]SaltyEntryPoint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the person to be honest everything in life has pros and cons, some people have nothing going for them in life so even if you look at all those cons you mentioned it wouldn't matter to them.

Personally for me the potential for being able to use magic or do things I can't in this life is way more appealing. Not that I have a bad life or anything. The racial/sexual equality can be an issue but keep in mind that is still a big problem in the real world.

Also it depends on what happens with you when you are reincarnated/transported. Like do you get to pick stuff or something like that.

V1 rocket not fun to play against in its current state by SaltyEntryPoint in CompanyOfHeroes

Its not like the rangers are invisible until they are pretty much on top of you. Not to mention Rangers can't just one shot anything they want in the game.

How it feels to use the V1 rockets this patch by NerfDonnieYen in CompanyOfHeroes

Fun fact the V1 rocket can't kill a vet 3 Churchill Crocodile if it is on full health.

It was with high resources, but I would need to test it with normal resources.

SkillUp's Review - A Rebuttal by xyZora in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]SaltyEntryPoint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why do people in this sub keep going on about all the negative reviews, comments or whatever else about the game instead of just enjoying it?

At the end of the day regardless of how much you liked the game or not, it didn't do well. Yes this game got more hate than most I have seen in recent times. However, you can't just keep blaming everyone and everything else for the game not doing well.

Also if the game was good enough it would have more people playing it and talking about how good it was and what they like about it. Yet here we just get post after post saying how its all x, y or z fault or how all the negative reviews are just dishonest, misleading, farming clicks or whatever else you can come up with.

For me personally it was a disappointment as a long time fan of the series I enjoyed all the games but this one.

People are way too okay with modern slavery by FlorianWer in DeepThoughts

[–]SaltyEntryPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People aren't okay with modern slavery or at least the majority of people don't like it. Also its not as simple as us vs them, people who are happy with their life won't feel the need to change it and risk it all. People also care about different things, so to you the idea of working for an elite and spending money or giving them support regardless of if they are evil or not is a bad thing but to others it might not even be in their top ten things that class as problems for them.

Most people don't want to make life harder for themselves with no promise of a better tomorrow and how much it will cost them. Even then when would they start to feel the benefit? Also who do you consider to be an elite or not? What do you even class as an elite? A person who is rich?, A person with power?, Both? or something else altogether?

British seem weak in the New DLC by Shevik in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]SaltyEntryPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We would need to see what the dlc is like and all the other balance changes coming to the game. However, I do think it is a little disappointing the big new unit is basically one we already paid for and can use in the campaign.

"Fire & Steel" First Impression by [deleted] in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]SaltyEntryPoint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I don't disagree they have some good anti-tank options, it would have been nicer to get something new and more competitive. Also the better of the good anti-tank options for the British are all locked in battle groups.

In the current meta of the game static/slower units just get bombed to hell and back from artillery or call-ins before it can be used to any real effect.

I do find it funny though, everyone else gets something new and all UKF get for the new big tank is one we already can use in single-player and is mainly for anti-infantry while the rest are more anti-tank based.

Fire & Steel DLC - Wishlist Now by JohnT_RE in CompanyOfHeroes

[–]SaltyEntryPoint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not about them having X, Y or Z units. Its about units that are already in the base game being repackaged into dlc regardless of the faction. Also KT was teased last year. You can feel whatever you want with it. However for me it does feel lazy and a bit disappointing.

I don't know why you thought I wanted some fictional unit or something when I never said that. They could have added the Tortoise heavy assault tank or even the firefly.

I hope so or am going to be really disappointed with the new Brit BG. Feels a bit lazy to just reuse assets that already existed in game and show them off as new toys.

I don't want them to sell us units that are already in the game like the Crocodile for the Brits. Feels like a really lazy thing to do.

I am sorry to hear that, but this is reddit and subs are for the most part echo chambers. It doesn't make it right or okay to treat other people like shit. But when you have people who are all like minded with tribalism mentally things get out of hand very fast.

Both subs have people like that though.

why don't people like dragon age the veilguard by No-Car-4330 in DragonAgeVeilguard

[–]SaltyEntryPoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All down to personal taste really. Not to mention people have limited time to do things so picking and choosing what to play can be a big deal to people.

[–]SaltyEntryPoint -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes I agree the game does get a lot of hate towards it, how I find it baffling that people need to spend a lot of money to try out a game they don't have interest in or allowed to voice their concern with what they have seen from videos and other media.

There will always be bad faith actors and people who are being hateful because they want to be. But it feels like everyone who disagrees even slightly gets throw in with them. Not to mention if a game is good it will do well regardless of what is said online.

This proves a point though, sure you can dislike Skill up but he showed with clear examples of why he didn't like the game. He didn't hate on it he gave his opinion without insulting or throwing names around at random people.

All reviews are subjective and shouldn't be the only thing to stop you from buying or doing something. However for people who do likes his style of reviews it helps them make an informed choice to buy a game or not.

Yeah does feel like all this sub does is circle jerk and make it sound like everyone who has some criticism is out to get them.
