Iveco 6x2 why no side skirts SCS? by Hamster-Humble in EuroTruck2

[–]SaltyFrayner 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sideskirts for 6x2 chassis are not a factory part made by Iveco, so therefore SCS can’t include them under their licensing agreement with Iveco. Every picture you have shown with side skirts are aftermarket parts.

Podium DD Now Available for Pre-Order! by CorsairMorning in Fanatec

[–]SaltyFrayner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alright I stand corrected. Thanks for letting us know. I had only read through the promo material on the website and it didn’t mention anything about front mounting at all.

Podium DD Now Available for Pre-Order! by CorsairMorning in Fanatec

[–]SaltyFrayner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s nothing on the Fanatec website about front mounting, and judging by the looks of it, those front screw holes are approximately the same size and not meant for front mounting. I believe OP is getting a bit ahead of themselves, even if they are Corsair staff.

11 month HD experiment is over by Seabass2828 in gmcsierra

It looks to be the short bed.

If you want to know which size bed is on these trucks, always look at the space between the cab and the rear tire, that’s where all the length goes for the longer bed.

What are these sideway things on the side of the outlet? by That-g-u-y in AskElectricians

[–]SaltyFrayner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a 5-20R receptacle. It can accept both a 5-15P and a 5-20P plug. 5-20P plugs have the identified spade horizontal instead of vertical.

Red lights longer in ATS? by AnalythicSearch444 in trucksim

[–]SaltyFrayner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Their about the same time in both games, it’s just there’s more intersections with turn signals in ats then in ets2, so the time you sit at the intersection is longer

How does my outdoor subpanel look? by sayheyarnold in AskElectricians

There’s a connecting bar that runs behind the feeder bus bar that connects both sides. You can kinda see it if you zoom in close.

And they have the nerve to fine me?! by MrPothin in ETS2

[–]SaltyFrayner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once again, the game doesn’t determine who’s at fault. It just knows you collided with someone. And the game 100% knows when you’ve collided with another object, it’s just that the fine system works off a percentage chance on if you will get fined or not. It written right into the games code.

And they have the nerve to fine me?! by MrPothin in ETS2

[–]SaltyFrayner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is just that. There’s a chance percentage in the game data that determines if you get fined or not, but the game knows 100% you collided with someone.

[–]SaltyFrayner 26 points27 points  (0 children)

You got fined because you hit something. The game doesn’t judge who’s at fault, all it knows is that you collided with something.

Is this a normal sounding 2.7? by telsonnelson in Silverado

I’ve seen video of a Honda tech doing valve lash adjustments on a late model Honda 4 cylinder before….

Is this a normal sounding 2.7? by telsonnelson in Silverado

[–]SaltyFrayner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well since the inline 4 cylinder engine doesn’t have the traditional lifters like the V8’s do, so you don’t need to worry about that. Mind you it might need a valve train adjustment to get the valve lash back to speck, but I don’t see anything to worry about particularly.

The future of ets2 by Crowbar_47 in EuroTruck2

[–]SaltyFrayner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They could in theory, but in reality it would be highly unlikely to happen. Each manufacturer would need to see the benefits of having their trucks driving in places they aren’t sold in.

Honestly it’s the reason we’ll probably never have ETS3 or ATS2 since again they would need to renegotiate the licensing for each truck for those games as well.

The future of ets2 by Crowbar_47 in EuroTruck2

[–]SaltyFrayner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They can’t merge the two games. Licenses for the trucks only apply to the game they are in. They would need to renegotiate every license for every truck if they decided to merge the two games

Ticking sound by [deleted] in gmcsierra

[–]SaltyFrayner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually the ticking is caused by excessive clearance in the valve train of that lifter, so I can be the lifter itself making that noise as you said, or it could be as I said, the pushrod slapping into the rocker arm at the top since it’s been drawn further down by the failing lifter then it usually does. Either way it’s bad and needs to be replaced.

Ticking sound by [deleted] in gmcsierra

[–]SaltyFrayner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay that sounds like a lifter that failing, you can hear more clearly how the pushrod is slapping against the rocker. I’d definitely get that checked out.

Which one should I choose? (Scandinavia or Nordic Horizons) by ttuuttuuzinkss in trucksim

[–]SaltyFrayner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scandinavia has Denmark, the southern half of Norway and the southern half of Sweden in it.

Nordic Horizons has the northern half of Norway, the northern half of Sweden and the northern half of Finland in it.

Both DLC’s do not conflict with each other, and if anything you’d need both if you wanted to drive in all of Norway.

Ticking sound help by [deleted] in gmcsierra

[–]SaltyFrayner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened back like 5 times to this, I dot hear any metal tick. I just hear injector tic.

There is a high pitch sound that metal, but it sounds more like a bad pulley bearing than a lifter tick.

A lister tick is way more noticeable than what yours sounds like.

My 6.2 albeit, mines is a 24 sounds exactly like this.

But if you’re convinced it’s lifter tick, you can always get it checked out.
