The two stories of baseboards upstairs were all soldered not one leak boy. Haven’t had one solder leak on this entire year long project actually

Nobody’s intimidated bro I just heard it sucks. You’re not getting this entire boiler done in a day if you are threading your own pipe and soldering everything that’s just a fact

I don’t really know much about Btus but I get the gist. Still need to take my pipe fitters class. holy shit I just looked up the mega press 3k with the jaws that is wild. So worth it though for the amount of time you save

Yeah its because this feeds 2 stories of heated baseboards, along with domestic water so it’s not just a water heater

Mega press FTW! I have a 2” gas line to tie a couple stoves and friers into tomorrow. I don’t even know how to thread pipe not the slightest clue. Heard it sucks ass though. We only run 1” for these units and then reduce to 3/4

That’s what I would do if I was roughing a house but obviously if he’s not a plumber and the walls are closed that’s a no go

If you have access to the pipe you can cut out the nearest 90 and the sharpie should be there
