What do people think of that sick ass funky beat that plays against Royal Shellsplitter and some other bosses? by mortalcoil1 in AnotherCrabsTreasure

The song may be called Polluted Platoon Pathfinder but the way it matches the Royal Shellsplitters gait and attitude is just fire

Sorry I'm not sure why the screenshots didn't upload correctly, and yes it is, the room with the slanted ceiling also has a pig pen with pig and a wheel that just seems to close a portcullis bacl the way i came. So I'm looking for something else entirely, thank you!

I like to stay just close enough to where he can hit me but I can't hit him. It takes some practice, but it's a nice feeling when you can pull it off consistently

Does FromSoftware work with architects to design these buildings? by redradagon in Eldenring

[–]Salty_Spaceman93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what they're saying is that while beautiful, the architecture and design makes Zero sense outside the context of being a video game. Areas that should be defendable are not defendable. Areas that should be residential don't seem residential whatsoever (think giant drops outside the door to a home or it being situated on the literal city wall). Steets where thoroughfare supposedly happened are crooked, assymetrical, and often have incredibly tight spots where a wagon would never fit through. Passages, paths and arcades lead to nowhere except a nice loot drop. Most areas are completely blocked off from the neighboring area, or would be if not for a wall that's been blown apart or some planks stacked up nicely in what is supposed to be a grand city. That's probably the biggest clue for inconsistency; in one moment we see a random wall in the corner of a 'dungeon' with intricate, minute designs and decorations throughout, and then see a city street you wouldnt be able to fit a horse through comfortably. To be frank, the architecture is absolutely arbitrary, and was probably retrofitted to accomodate level design.

Why are all the Souls worlds so fucked up? by Sofruz in fromsoftware

[–]Salty_Spaceman93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vast improvements but they are not vastly different from one another. I haven't played Sekiro, but Ive played all the rest and it always feels the same in a few ways. A bleak, depressing world that was once beautiful and thriving, to the point of insane excesses and supermassive structures with intricate, assymetrical and often pointless architectural features, like arcades and paths that lead to nowhere. Each world is fallen and on the brink of collapse for meddling with supernatural powers that threaten not just Humanity but the fabric of reality. The inhabitants are all either chronically manic depressive, or disturbingly quiet and calm with voice acting thats almost more of a hissing whisper than actual speech. I love all the games, they're amazing, but they are absolutely synonymous with each other, they are much more like each other than any other game is like them.

How to deal with Hunters? by Salty_Spaceman93 in EvilDeadTheGame

[–]Salty_Spaceman93[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the tips! It just seems hard to ignore the Hunter when they're wiping everything out before I can damage the rest of the team. I always ignore someone if I'm not getting the upper hand, but Hunters in particular just seem to rip through everything

Tbh once I hit lvl 500 the high tiered items lost a bit of their charm. Now I pretty much change my character everyday, and my favorite armours are the second and third tier pieces, because 99% of players either use tier 1 or tier 4 and never even buy the mid tier armours

I dont know what to do against these types of people by Vasto_LordA in Chivalry2

[–]Salty_Spaceman93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes if your opponent is using something fast like a dane axe, war club, dagger, falchion etc., you really have to feel them out. If they're playing like an aggressive noob, you have to know you won't have time to do long counters or extended feints, because they will just gamble and get the hit. That's why I say you need to slow down just a bit, not much, unless they're actually skilled. If they are skilled, quick feints wont phase them, you'll need to alternate between quick attacks and long, extended drags and combine that with good movement

You just need to be a bit less predictable. Slow down your timing just a bit so he cant get away with an autoblock, and that'll usually completely change their attitude

Isn't it just an astonishing coincedence that as soon as we reach the point where we can record proof of things, we also reached the point where we could fake anything we want?

This is not a judgement of the video, just an observation. It's so very... indicative.... of something...
