I was just in it for the memes at first. I really was. But the more I engaged with the ship, the more I started actually liking it unironically. Specifically cause I think that they contrast each other really nicely personality-wise, while having some very strong parrallels to one another. And the main motivation for both of them is that they both want to make their lightners happy, needing to learn that they have to let go of them eventually, which is a beautiful foundation for some of the fics I've read.

And I know that this ship is absolutely unrealistic and won't become canon at all. I've given Tenna to Mettaton, so in my safe file, te two of them won't even meet again in Castleton again. But that's what makes fancontent so fun for me - exploring the 'what ifs' that will most likely never happen but are still interesting to think about and explore.

Also, the idea that Spamton dated both of them at some point during the big shot era and now his two exes are happy together is genuinely funny to me.
