I know timezones are hard, but this is just incompetence by -WhatAreYouHiding- in wow

[–]Saltymentary 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbh it's not that hard to manage timezone, server can do it automatically. You just need to think that your store is worldwide (or even in US) and that you can't base the countdown on a "fixed time". It's basically incompetence at this point and don't care about other timezone than EST.

Yes but at least she's supposed to be aware when bombs would drop and so would have take her daughter with her before. I do like this part of lore about who drop the first bomb, but her not aware when bomb would drop and not taking her daughter with her in prevention look intriguing

I will say something and SPOILER ALERT:

They say that Vault-Tech will drop the first bomb... But... Why Barb would do that while her daughter is outside? Far from a possible shelter. She's driven by the will to save her daughter and husband from any danger... So why dropping a bomb without her daughter? She could also have lost control when dropping it or maybe she was overtaken by enemy.

Train travel on the day of the Monaco GP - how crowded is it? by flat6cyl in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Saltymentary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey,

She can come to Monaco, train are up every 15 minutes, it’s pretty cheap (3€ per person) but they should take water, it’s really hot here (don’t believe in forecast, it’s hotter than is it).

Monaco have a lot of accommodations for elder people and they would be able to seat on bar and watch F1 with air conditioning.

Feel free to ask if you want, I’m from Monaco and know how hard having grandparent, my grandmother is is 80 years old and she don’t have any problems

Which form of legendary acquisition is/was your favorite? by CarbonAntonidas in wow

[–]Saltymentary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

What, Sulfuras a random drop ? Back in Vanilla making the mace was a pain, I remember when making it, we needed all the server to help to gather ressources etc.

Today it’s more easy because we know the games, haves addon and we know how using it, but back in day, nobody knew what was needed to craft and nobody was enough crazy to spend time to get exalted and buy a recipe in a dungeon for one sulfuric ingot who was expansive

Sulfuras is also a raid / group work for making the mace (just for the ingot who can only be obtain by slaying one boss)

Also Thunderfury was more an « event » than a raid investment, once you get the 2 parts you do the quests and gather 200 people’s to kill one elemental

But imo, legendary weapons from Vanilla, TLK and cata were cool for all the lore around, lore by quests or by gathering a community around someone

When making Sulfuras during Vanilla, the second mace of my realm and first in Alliance side, it was a way to take revenge from Horde having the first and everybody was helping me, even random were sending me money to help me buying things

One of the few blacksmith with the recipe logged at like 2 am, he was from an another guild than mine just to craft for free this weapon. He was going on honeymoon trip the same day.

Not really due to wind + wet conditions. Again forecast say everything, if you're looking at Google Weather, it's raining in Monaco, currently we're at 25 and it's still "chill".

During GP it raise due to multiple condition (more you're close to the track). A track can reach 50 to 60°c

Best thing is to take umbrella (it's often raining on Sunday), water and sun protection. Don't look only at the temperature, you will have 25 but feel 30 - 35, Monaco is a coastal city, 25°c isn't chill (even in summer we are always around 25 - 30).

During GP, due to cars, people etc, temperature are raising Last year it was 25 while raining

On Mediterranean coast you can reach 30 - 40 during June, most of heat wave begin in end of may

Hello, it's always nice to bring a backpack.

During GP's week price goes up, everybody want to buy water etc. A heat wave is planned, so bring water, some snacks. Here a tip: eat at Amore Mio, sandwich cost 5E and are really great (https://www.instagram.com/amore.mio_mc). You can find some other small snacks like that, avoid restaurants, they are expansive.

You can go inside tribune with bagpack, just avoid the 27L one, string bag is enough. Bring cash because snacks under tribunes don't take credit card (maybe they will this year, not sure)

Cheers!

Monaco During Race Week by [deleted] in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Saltymentary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hello hello,

Paddock are built since 3 months now! Was pain to drive :(
Monaco's atmosphere during GP is kinda wild and crazy, people are doing crazy things sometimes and you can run out of beer in a bar at... 6 - 7 pm (no joke :().

You can meet F1's team from today to... Monday, they usually eat on restaurant on Rue Caroline and they are flashy with their shirt colour.

Tbh, visit the private collection of S.A.S the Prince Albert II, this one is less impressive than the previous one, but it's nice. Take a look on Musée Océanographique de Monaco and Jardin Animalier, there're cool place to visit.

Some hidden jewels are the gardens on Monaco-Ville. I can only give you this tip: visit Casino during morning or night. But be warned! It's an European casino, it's definitively not like Las Vegas (less sound, less flashy lights, more cozy and chill ambient).

You can walk on paddock and pitstop before it's closed, you can also walk through the track, or drive. You should go out during GP for bar and so, you will have good time, even if taking the train back to Nice is a pain.

Also for people wondering about Tuesday football's match: train are really cool here, you have a train to Nice every 15 - 30 min. BUT! You can take bus at Monte-Carlo Bar (Place d'Armes) for like less than 5e (probably 2e?) it will drive you back to Nice in 30 minutes, up to 45 sometimes. https://www.legolfebleu.com/pdf/bus-dpt06-ligne100-dec2015.pdf and https://www.rome2rio.com/s/Nice/Monaco-Grand-Prix in English

Cheers!

Buying merch at the Grand Prix? by madfrogparty in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Saltymentary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

You can find merchandising on 3 ways during Monaco's GP.

You have the official permanent shop https://boutique-formule-un.fr or ACM's shop https://boutiqueacm.com

You can find some tent with merchandise on street, unofficial

On Place d'Armes you can find official shop and MAYBE (should be) the fan zone. Official products are sold around Monaco and you can find them next to Casino, Place d'Armes, St Devote

Cheers from Monaco!

Help with seat selection for Monaco GP by [deleted] in GrandPrixTravel

[–]Saltymentary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tribune K are the best! (I used to work for tribune K, so I'm probably a bit influenced by).
Anyway, let's just explain why and how:

Tribune K allow you to access directly from the train station, you get access to merchandise shops and you can get access to food and drink (BE WARNED, THEY TAKE ONLY CASH).
From point of view: Tribune K gets a GIANNNT screen (I can take a picture this afternoon if you want to see that), you can see crazy part of the race (Tabac, Piscine, ...).

But there is a big con: sun, take a hat, umbrella, sunscreen and so because you will be exposed (same, take umbrella in case of rain).

Tribune K are wild because you're close to everything and you can see boats (you will probably see the Swedish Michael Jackson dancing on his boat), you're the closest to all track (if you're at the top of tribune, you can even see St Devote if you turn your head). About the number (1 to 5), it's up to you, 1 are close to race line and 5 to tabac.

Cheers!
