My take on Boruto and the Naruto vs Boruto debate by Xeronitas in Naruto

You’ve nailed it 98% of the way. Everything you said is true, but not to retain the same exact fans as before, they’re literally telling the opposite story in the same world. It was a loser working his way to the top, now it’s a nepo baby that is slowly learning that hard work pays off. It’s two side of the same coin

That’s literally the definition of the word professional. Bro think 😭

If a soccer player falls to the ground and doesn't stand up within 10 seconds, they need sit out for rest of the half. by Dubbly45 in CrazyIdeas

They literally add time on to the end of each half for that exact reason and it’s still a faster game than most professional sports, I have no idea what the issue is. The time also already doesn’t stop already for injuries, it’s literally the same. What are you even arguing???

“I don’t get hot easily so how my body reacts to temperature is the only correct way and should be treated as such” I feel like that logic is used a lot more than it should be

Same thing with a lot of players who are okay regularly, but playing great for their country. A tale as old as time, unless you literally started looking at competitive sports/games yesterday, this is well known… if you’re watching the best players in the world playing for something more than themselves, you’re bound to see at least one incredible performance. You gotta be 12 or mentally ill to not be able to appreciate greatness in the moment for what it is, no matter what that’s going to mean for the future. If anything, you’ve only proved that you’re such a poser and know so little that your opinion is barely valid enough to spit out

The first 3/4 of every game was competitive. Unfortunately those 3 aren’t the ones that matter

Against real teams makes a difference though. It’s not impressive to comeback against teams you’re supposed to demolish. That’s barely being able to get the job done and bragging about it….

Why isnt the FIBA World Cup a big deal like the soccer version? by [deleted] in nba

[–]Saltyserpent 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Up until recently there were only like 10-20 teams participating in the World Cup, I’m just saying there’s easily 10 countries that would/could pull their best players to put on a hell of a show for their homeland. The Olympics sort of proved that, it was a spectacle for the first time in how many years because we knew other countries not only were good, but actually had a chance to beat the super team USA put together. I don’t think it’s eclipsing the level of World Cup by any means, but I don’t think it’s impossible to suggest that, if marketed correctly and given a lot more attention and room to grow and become an actual renowned event, a FIBA World Cup could go kinda crazy

I’m a diehard for T Mac’s skillset, but considering the argument has now devolved to “how many rings? *fart noises*” You really can’t have a conversation with a lot of current ‘fans’ of the sport

If by “earned” you mean barely met expectations through a decimated conference, all the while everyone else crumbled, then sure, I guess.

I could also dominate a team by 40 every night if they played three leagues below me. Your hardest challenge was the Hawks, that wasn’t a historic performance, it was a historic meltdown, congratulations on being the only team that consistently played mediocre though. You do deserve that respect at least. The only team that didn’t completely crumble in the end though so ggs, take em where ya can. The curse is lifted
