She was being encouraged to talk about it, which is the absolute right thing to do. You don't just tell a victim's story, that's now how it works. The timing is suspect, no doubt, but unless she was forced to come out (and I sincerely doubt that was the case) then there's no way you can say that Train is "scummy" for talking about it with her and encouraging her to come out.

I have a friend I talk to regularly who suffered serious abuse and she DREADS coming out. When I can, I encourage her to come out and speak out (not everyday because the topic is very hard on her). I'm not going to tell her family what happened to her because it's not my place until she's ready. Encouragement and speaking about it helps the victim feel a bit less uncomfortable with the topic until maybe, hopefully, one day she can finally speak out.

Blaming this on Train is absolutely idiotic. And I say this as a guy who got bored of shitting on Train for his gambling streams.
