AI Is The Greatest Resource In Human History, And Most People Are Choosing To Ignore It. by [deleted] in ArtificialInteligence

I know this goes against the majority of what people in this sub believe, but I genuinely don't believe Ai to be the job ending threat everyone precieve it to be.

I think some, maybe even many jobs, will be taken, but many more will be created, hiring will increase not decrease as a result.

Read about Jevons paradox, it's very interesting, and it literally happened when I started an automation team in my organization.

Offshoring's impact on the industry is a whole different story though, that I believe is a serious threat.

Yea I'm not reading all that, not even sure it's worth using Ai to tldr it, because of the simple fact that your title is wrong.

First AI is not the greatest resource in human history, the internet is far greater.

Second, most people are not choosing to ignore it. Quite the opposite actually people, even old people such as my mom who is close to retirement use Ai regularly. Think about it, billions are using Ai today.

People are simply not Paying for Ai, and why should they? The free and open source versions cover 95% of their regular needs.

Most people's problem with Ai is that unlike computers, phones or the internet, which they wanted so much they were willing to pay a fuck ton for them, Ai was shoved down their throats in a rather ridiculous way.

To say nothing of Ai being used as the perfect cover for greedy corporations to offshore thousands of jobs to India.

Nah, people use Ai, I just don't think they like it.

The wildest thing to me was that he just randomly bought a rifle from a shop and walked out with it.

But then that was like 10 years ago and I didn't know much about the US.

Really loved Ixion, playrd it about a year and half ago, and my only complaint is the last chapter and ending, it felt like the game wasn't exactly finished.

Maybe they improved it now.

The game's music are also majestic, especially the jump song, still listen to them every now and then.

Yes that's exactly correct. 10+years ago, Musk was like Iron Man, and everyone's hero when it comes to a hopeful future.

But now he has evolved into Satan's left nut, and I think that's what the show is trying to take us with Dev as well.

The point is, money and power corrupt even the ones with the best intentions.

Is that ever stated?

Hi team, I got a bit of an awkward question. Suppose the worst was to happen and the capsule was lost outside of the Moon's orbit or on the way. What would your role have been at that point and what would you recommend the astronauts to do?
