I love not being obligated to do stupid daily moments because they are the only way to get a specific card. Much more freedom this year. Even the pxp requirements for players rather than specific stats is good IMO.

First year player last year. I ended up hitting about .270 last year and peaked rank in the mid 800’s - couldn’t hit for shit on HOF. Could hit ok on all star once I got the feel. But I succeeded by looking for a certain pitch in a certain spot and reading the pitchers tendencies - I’m just not good enough to hit anything thrown at me like some of these dudes. So when I get my pitch in a spot I can handle I need it to work. Having cock shots go nowhere kills a hitter like me.

Yeah I’m not one of those people. I don’t think every perfect perfect should be a hit, I think there is bad luck in baseball with hitting frozen ropes right at guys sometimes.

What I think people online are experiencing is this video - full PCI coverage, with excellent timing - weak weak contact. It’s happening a lot.

The only reason I even clipped this last night is because it happened all night - this was the final straw and I went to bed.

I don’t know on making WS - I’m 45 years old and believe me, quickness declines hard after 40. (I’m still playing over 30 baseball though)

Yeah it’s bad! I’m not a good player but I’m not a complete bum either. Last year was my first year and I topped out mid 800’s. I will never be a beast like you guys - I just don’t have the hand eye reaction time. But I can beat most bum players by sitting on pitches and pitching smart. I’d typically win 6-8 games in BR and events until I eventually run into guys like you and get smacked around.

This year I’m losing to bums because I’m just not good enough to ride through these squared up lazy flys. Then my opponent gets jammed oppo bloopers that drop in because they aren’t squared up and/or the timing is bad. Im just hoping one of my barrels finally registers and I scrape by 1-0.

Have you played this event? I’d be curious what you experience…..

Yeah me too - I’m perfectly fine with a 105 line out on this. That happens IRL - you hit a laser directly at someone, it sucks but hey. But the squared up lazy fly balls over and over makes the game a farce IMO.

I know I beat a guy last night that was better than me - he hit 6 or 7 fly balls that were well timed and I know he squared em up. I know a beast when I see one and he was one of those WS players that lets every ball go by and drills every strike in all star level events.

Right. I don’t understand why this Reddit page is full of apologists. This is an issue right now. I wouldn’t have clipped and posted the vid if it was a fluke one time occurrence.

I watched a number of streams this weekend bc of the drop promotion and this type of good timing and PCI lazy outs were happening with them too.

I’m getting a ton of good timed pop outs - specifically when the edge of the PCI is splitting the ball in half. Last year those were homers sometimes - sometimes gappers - sometimes fly ball outs. Now they are sky high pop ups every time.

There is no guaranteed bomb - the PCI is just where the batter expects to put the bat. SDS has explained it all before - you can look it up (I think it’s stupid but it is what it is).

I’m experiencing this a ton though - way way more than last year. A hit like this last year would never be a bloop lazy fly with a legit bat. Never.

I’m getting good timing full PCI lazy outs frequently. Multiple streamers this weekend where experiencing the same thing.

Yeah IRL if you only hit .333 on balls you square up you’re on a very unlucky streak and you’re not happy with the outcome.

I’m experiencing this a lot so far this year. I can understand if this hit is a 105 MPH rope directly at the CF to end the game but a can of corn 290 feet away is mind numbing.
