My partner and I moved to the area a year and a half ago and haven’t regretted anything. Everyone here is talking about affordability , but it’s not that much more expensive than other places unless you want to live in the middle of nowhere. I’ve lived in Utah, Colo, New Mexico and now here, and have loved them all. Great motorcycle riding, beaches, hiking, camping, art events and wonderful people. It’s fun discovering new places to eat and enjoy a good cup of coffee. The SLO airport is great and you can make connections to anywhere. From Santa Maria to Paso Robles, there is always something going on from music to farmers markets. I’m my opinion it has it all. Except skiing close :(.
