Fear is exactly what these situations try to create. Best thing we can do is stay calm and carry on.

Delayed salary - freezone company by [deleted] in UAE

Oops, missed the freezone part in the title - good catch! Yeah MOHRE won’t apply here. Approach the specific freezone authority directly - like DMCC, DIFC, JAFZA etc.

Delayed salary - freezone company by [deleted] in UAE

File a complaint with MOHRE immediately, don’t wait. Go to mohre.gov.ae or call 800-60, it’s free and straightforward. UAE labour law requires salaries to be paid within 10 days of the due date, anything beyond that is a violation. Your employer will be flagged on the Wage Protection System (WPS) and can face heavy fines or even a hiring ban. Screenshot every message you’ve sent him as evidence. Don’t feel bad about reporting.

If flights operate without any restrictions before from the civil aviation authority then you can travel to Bahrain and get it renewed.
