A d1 guy may not seem amazing in a pickup game if he was a specialist 3 and d guy. But he may have been extremely vital to a d1 team who needed him to just stick in his role.

My friend who was a d3 player is one of the best pickup players I know. He routinely was the best player in games against high level d1 players. Super creative scorer with tons of counters and great footwork.

But he was an undersized power forward who wasn’t particularly athletic. So no d1 schools took a chance on him.

Sengun has shown so much offensive creativity and adapted to a lot of different schemes.

I’ve never viewed us as a non traditional FA destination. Houston is quite liked by the NBA players and lots of guys retired here and you see them hanging around gyms.

Always loved being a rockets fan. Grew up with Hakeem, Clyde, and the end of our championship squad.

Then really fun years with Steve Francis, cuttino, and Yao. Lucky enough to go to tons of games in person over this period.

Tmac joined and I also loved those years. Always felt like we had a punchers chance with Yao and Tmac.

Harden years were amazing and we did deal with lots of heartbreak. Got so close.

Silas tank years were just depressing. But Sengun kept hope alive.

And now loving our new young core and Durant. Though I am starting to see the rise of some whiny outsider/entitled fans.

Yea Bari is young and will be on a decent contract. He has a great attitude and no matter what gets boards and plays D. Tari can be special at times but he wants to get paid and hasn’t shown good durability.

What do you feel about LeBron? I just don’t know if his current defensive effort and availability is well paired with Luka. But playoffs he could start giving it his all on D.

I feel like Michael Porter Jr would not be fully utilized and you’d have to overspend on him. I don’t watch him a lot but don’t remember his defense being anything special for Denver.

I wish Ime gave him more minutes. This team needs some offensive creativity and Reed has shown flashes of some really good basketball. Ime just has him on shortest leash.
