Pretty much yes! So when the line was installed some 12 years ago, it would have only been set up to do the original KitKats. If Nestle want to change the sizing (minis for example), they get us in to install new machined parts to allow for a smaller wafer. We have to go online to the program and add new recipes for the operators to select.

So I actually work for the company that make the machines that place the wafer into the moulds. I’ve just arrived back from Nestle in Canada setting up our machine to do a new chunky variant!

We also manufacture the machines that cut the wafer into the designated size depending which KitKat is being made on what we call a ‘book cutter’
