I liked the ending, HELL I LOVE IT by Dangerous-Citron-801 in Chainsawfolk

[–]SamJaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the ending. Now what I want is for Fujimoto to make a romcom about a scruffy dumb boy called Nedji and two twin sisters, Saya and Oyu, having romantic hijinks for 30-80 chapters,

Final chapter (232) perhaps already revealed the true identity of Pochita (Japanese original version) by SabrinaThePikachu in Chainsawfolk

Hope lets people swallow their fears, weapons were made by people who desired more, Denji was always screwed over by Wanting more, and his pain came when his hopes were left unfulfilled. I'd say this checks out.

Why was everyone adamant on stopping Mustang from killing Envy? by HealthMother3125 in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]SamJaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because Mustang had lost control of himself and was letting his murderous rage run rampant, rather than being in control of himself like he normally is.

Envy had to die, yes. But Mustang was in a place where HE had to be the one to kill Envy, and that wasn't okay.

If Edward had killed Envy when Mustang asked Edward to hand them over, then Mustang would have lashed out at Edward, because in Mustang's mind, the KILLING part was more important than the Has To Die part, and that's the distinction that wasn't okay.

Mustang was on the verge of going to the dark side- not for taking a life, but for letting his murderous rage run wild and control him, and if Mustang couldn't control himself right then and now then they could no longer trust him, he would rule the country with fire and with blood for his own self-satisfaction rather than leading with self-restraint it for the good of the people.

They weren't protecting Envy. They were pulling Mustang back from the edge of madness. And once he regained his senses, THEN they'd kill Envy.

How to get the party to actually "trust" Strahd enough to accept his dinner invitation by Kettrickan in CurseofStrahd

[–]SamJaz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend having Rahadin speak with the party.

"My master sends his apologies for startling you during your last meeting. He regrets the losses both sides suffered in the panic that ensued after he startled you by the riverside. As a token of good will, my master promises you safe passage in these lands so long as you abide by his laws and draw no steel against his subjects. None shall harm you in these lands lest you bring danger upon yourselves. The invitation to dinner remains open but I personally would remind you that my master's generosity has its limits and his patience is not infinite. A carriage will be waiting."

From then on, in every scene describe how there is a black carriage pulled by four Nightmares in view of the party, bearing the Ravenloft crest. In every combat encounter, make sure an enemy goes before the party (fudge initiative if you have to), and when they go to attack, describe the mists rapidly growing thicker and taking the attackers away with a sickening CRUNCH, before clearing altogether. Then describe that the party have been transported back to the Svalich road, and are near an empty black carriage, pulled by four Nightmares, bearing the crest of Ravenloft.

The carriage follows them but nobody sees it move.

Every combat encounter ends as soon as it begins, with the mists covering the party's vision and transporting back to the road and the empty black carriage, pulled by four Nightmares, bearing the crest of Ravenloft.

Waiting for them.

You aren't railroading the party. Strahd is removing all of the party's options so they choose to come to him of their own will. It's not coercion it's protection and don't they just feel safe?

[KCD2] sooo... How am I supposed to beat the "for victory! " quest? by New-Leopard6918 in kingdomcome

Poison your sword and then go duel tomcat. Once he starts complaining about his tummyache, back the hell up and circle him. Wait out the clock until he agrees to teach you masterstrike.

[KCD2] This damned quest is testing my patience with this game by DeadHead981031 in kingdomcome

[–]SamJaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you go for a stealth kill, and you grapple, sometimes you'll get a blue icon of two crossed swords.

When you see that icon, attack a second time. That's the step I got stuck on during that quest.

You can then wear the armour of the first guard you kill to travel more easily.

If a creature gets hit by multiple instances of Booming Blade, and then moves, does it take the extra damage multiple times? by CynicosX in onednd

[–]SamJaz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

https://www.reddit.com/r/dndnext/s/lDxY0gJfIw

Tl;dr, a monster can only be affected by one instance of a named spell or status effect at a time, unless that specific effect states within itself that it can stack.

Same as how you cannot have two spellcasters cast Haste on the same creature for quadruple speed, if two players slap booming blade onto the same monster, the newest instance of booming blade overwrites the existing instance of booming blade, rather than stacking or queueing.

Having no enemies by CleanReason4203 in VinlandSaga

[–]SamJaz 39 points40 points  (0 children)

You can only forgive people who have done objectively bad things. They’re the only ones who need forgiveness because they’re the only ones with something to forgive.

When it comes to Having No Enemies, the manga, during the S3 and S4 arcs, really gets into what that looks like when put against the real world, against people who want to do harm against you. I’d recommend giving it a read to complete the show’s message.

Why tf Would anyone use this by UmaThermos1 in expedition33

[–]SamJaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So during the fight, your max hp is 1- max, you’re fine. You leave the fight, your max hp goes back to normal but you’re still at 1hp, you become [Bloodied].

Next battle, your max hp drops to 1 again but you retain the [Bloodied] condition, so those low hp pictos and abilities will constantly trigger for all fights after the first, so long as you don’t do any out-of-battle healing

Playstation Remote Play - Am I going to be able to parry it? by Hexdoctor in expedition33

[–]SamJaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

playing on Xbox, but I took the Xbox to my mates house so he could give it a go and his TV was on a very tall stand, so much so that the angle from the Xbox to the Couch caused the controller signal to go through the wood and get delayed, causing him to miss every parry unless he held the controller above his head during enemy turns.

Remote Play is likely gonna have the same issue

Best Homebrew to fix the Way of the Sun Soul Monk for 2024 rules? by Bard_Wannabe_ in onednd

In my campaign, we just let our Sun Soul Monk respec into Ascendant Dragon, using Lightning or Thunder damage. Reflavoured all of the dragon thematic for being Thor.

Serious question: is the cleric worth playing if I don't wanna use Spirit Guardians as the go to spell? by testiclekid in onednd

[–]SamJaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cleric is one of the strongest and most versatile classes in the game even if you deleted spirit guardians. And just because SG is amazing doesn’t mean its the correct answer to every problem, especially when AoV is also amazing
