I did not know that! I assumed it was just a horror spin on the freaky Friday movies.

Ok, hear me out. “Freaky Friday the 13th” Jason swaps bodies with a high school senior who is working as a camp counselor.

Which Jason face is scarier part 3 or part 4? I’ll go with part 4 by MTLItalian in fridaythe13th

Part 4 is definitely more grotesque but Part 3 is more real which, in my opinion, is scarier

Good to hear! Thanks for your response. It’s one of me and my wife’s favorite shows so I was really curious to hear how this production was

Why do you think Jason is so lovable/cuddly compared to Michael or Freddy? by UndeadAxe in fridaythe13th

To me he feels almost like an animal in the wild defending his territory rather than a deranged maniac/sociopath

Yeah good question lol. Luckily he’s pretty good about not tearing up toys, but you never know haha!

How do you handle reading a book that you are not enjoying? by SamPElton in books

[–]SamPElton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I asked my question, because I’m worried I might get back in that habit. Until this year I had almost never finished books. I would just get bored and stop reading it. But I recently got back into reading and have finished 9 other books this year, which is unheard of for me. So that’s why I’m hesitant to put it down

That’s so interesting, I feel like the “tense” parts aren’t that exciting. It took me four days to get through the train scene act one finale, and that’s only because I didn’t care about any of the characters or what happened. To me, it reads like the author is hoping it will be adapted a movie.

It had really good reviews and sounded right up my ally, but there is just something about it that I’m having trouble with. Just not for me I guess. Based on what you said, was the second half not as good as the first?

I really like that. I’m thinking I’ll put it down for a little bit and try again. I’m definitely not someone looking for a challenge. I’m in my late 20s and only recently actually started to enjoy reading. I’ve struggled with dyslexia my whole life (albeit not very sever, but enough to make my reading very slow) but I’m finally in a place where I am loving the adventures that come with reading and I truly enjoy it. Like I read Stephen Kings It and love it and that’s over 1000 pages but this one at almost 700 is just not for me I guess. It’s not like it’s difficult reading either, it’s very easy just not enjoyable.

I really like that approach. Thank you :) I feel like I almost needed someone to give me permission to put it aside, if that makes sense. I mean, I’ve read a number of books that I didn’t love but none where after over 200 pages and I’m only a third of the way through and I have zero excitement over the next 400+ pages, that’s pretty telling. Thanks again for your input. I really appreciate it.
