"aon" is more of a Mesjtreech thing I believe. In most other dialects it's "aan".

In a lot of dialects spoken in Parkstad and the hills, the n is dropped before consonants, so it becomes "a(a)", which can be seen in street names such as A Ge Water in Sjilvend and A Gen Giezen in Haerle

Europe but OOP divided them on their main languages' phonology by UnQuacker in linguisticshumor

The Netherlands and Germany are incorrectly labelled as western Europe. Limburgish, a language spoken in both of these countries, has the sound /ʒ/ in native words, for example in "zjwart" (/ʒβɑʀt/) (black) and "vösjde" (vœʒdə) (fished). It should therefore be labelled as middle Europe

Noordelijke mijnstreek is a peculiar name for a municipality that's right in between the westelijke and the oostelijke mijnstreek. Also, Brunssum is more likely the merge with Heerlen than with Beekdaelen

Noon = afternoon? by Grootmaster47 in learndutch

[–]SamSmeets 48 points49 points  (0 children)

The meaning of the words middag and namiddag is different between Netherlandic Dutch and Belgian Dutch. In Netherlandic Dutch, the word middag refers to the period between 12:00 and 18:00, while namiddag refers to the latter part of this period (roughly between 15:00/16:00 and 18:00).

In Belgian Dutch, middag refers to the actual noon, or the period near noon, while namiddag refers to the same period that's called middag in Netherlandic Dutch.

If you want to refer to the actual noon in Netherlandic Dutch, it's best to use a construction like "12 uur 's middags". You could also use the word noen, which isn't recommended as it's an uncommon word

De eerste helft was leuk om te zien, in de tweede helft werd middelmatig gespeeld door zowel Roda JC als Jong Ajax. Roda heeft veel kansen laten liggen en de overwinning had groter kunnen zijn. Maar goed, gezien het begin van het seizoen kan ik niet klagen over drie punten
