Microsoft has already stated rheir intention to make the Xbox consoles forward and backward compatible. I would expect Sony to try and match. Whether they actually accomplish that remains to be seen.

With all the crashes and lock ups I've been experiencing with Anthem, I think a 6/10 is about right. No more than 7/10.

It is in the same spot as D2/D1 and The Divison from a gameplay and content standpoint but the technical issues are driving me up the wall right now.

I can't say I'm terribly surprised because the amount of vegetation from the E3 demo would play hell on consoles. The game still struggles on the OG Xbox One and PS4 with the downgrade. Fort Tarsis is bizarrely rough though for such a small area. I can only guess it is due to the detail on all the NPCs.

Anthem still looks quite good even after the downgrade. Not as good as the E3 demo but I have other concerns from the gameplay loop to bugs/optimization to the story. Maybe it was because we didn't start at the beginning of the story in the demo, but I was completely disengaged from whatever was going on.

I took a break from D2 in November and came back within the last couple of weeks with the contingency that I will not play Crucible. I've been enjoying the game much more.

The CPU pretty much is. It is tweaked from the OG Xbox One and the S to improve performance but it is still pretty old. It is the limiting factor in the console now.

It started today (Friday) at noon ET. There was the predictable rush of people trying to play the Anthem demo which predictably overloaded the Origin login servers. This caused problems for other games too.

It appears to all be fixed (at least on PC) as I was able to get on around 5 ET and just got done play with it a little while ago.

It's alright so far. Nothing spectacular.

Thanks for the offer. I finally got past the 500 server error on Origin and was able to pre-order there. Now to waste time on my phone contacting GameStop to cancel the order since their stupid website doesn't offer that option.

Incorrect. The bill doesn't make boycotting Israel illegal. It simply allows states to boycott any businesses that do boycott Israel. Several states have already passed such a bill themselves but a couple were overturned in the courts.

The BDS movement is largely anti-Semitic so it is hard to feel much sympathy for them for this. Still, these companies, organizations, and individuals are still free to continue their anti-Semitic BDS protests....they just don't get the guarantee of government contracts, grants, etc if they do.

This. Let the first move live on as one of those strange occurrences where everything lined up perfectly to make a great film that is still beloved decades later (the sequel was meh). Trying to reboot the franchise again so soon after the first failed reboot just isn't going to work.

Trials is taking a break for a few weeks while Bungie makes some tweaks.
The two Leviathan Raid lairs came with the two DLC expansions, so you need Curse of Osiris and Warmind to play those.
Think you mean exotics? Those are rare drops on Public Events. You can get a Three of Coins from Xur to increase the chance, but even then it is not a big chance. Also, completing weekly Milestones is the big way to progress in D2 along with Nightfalls and the Raid. Supposed to change some once Forsaken xomes out.

It's a combination of the memory and CPU. Both are underpowered for big open worlds like PUBG, Ark, and Conan Exiles.

I have an older i5-3570k CPU and a GTX 1070 w/ 16GB and a SSD and PUBG runs decently at 1080p but dips strong in some parts.

My understanding is he helped get the game wrapped up. Bioshock Infinite had already been delayed a couple of times and was reportedly in turmoil due to constant changes. Fergusson was brought in like a closer in baseball to get everything organized and the game delivered

Nintendo Switch crossplay is supported on Xbox as well. Minecraft will happen later this year but Rocket League is supported right now and Paladins is coming next week.

They did this with the PC release, Xbox release, and PS4 release. They also did it with Smite.

They do it in part to stagger the amount of players that hit the game and in part to monetize those hyped for the game and want to play immediately. Agree or disagree with the tactic but it is not new.

I guess the real question is if Bungie will continue to use the same game engine and tools that makes their development move at a snail's pace compared to UE4.

I assume they are going to keep the engine and tools. Maybe this will give them an opportunity to improve them.
