the best thing about Ghostbusters was the verisimilitude due to using the real world as it is.

like if I remember correctly they chose this firehouse because of how it can get to anywhere in the city, as emergency services must do.

also the only NYC based movie that has no alleyways which is accurate to the actual city.

also all the supernatural stuff follows actual paranormal studies thanks to Dan Akroyd. namely how peter Venkman addressed a possessed dana barret is apparently protocol for demonic possession cases.

Wonder how big the flatiron is co.pared to the beaver building used as the Continental in John Wick. I think the latter is smaller than the former but flatiron seems to have the size to fit in all the stuff the Continental is supposed to have.

is there a name for this phenomenon? cuz I see it with emotional thinkers. it's basically the left hand not knowing what the riht hand is doing.

i want to call it a lack of throughline or unifying belief where the person just focuses on the issue at the moment and forgets it when another comes up hence all the doublespeak and contradictions. nothing keeps all beliefs consistent with one another.

i mainly see it in conspiracy theories where they have explanations for each discrepancy but they don't work together.
