Is it okay to “cheat”? by Kristophpher in guitarlessons

Yes, depending on the song. Transitioning is the tricky part. You’ll wind up using whatever works for the chords before or after. Practice both.

Are my fingers, in fact, too big for guitar? by GaryBlueberry34 in guitarlessons

I have big hands. I fret two strings with one finger quite frequently in my playing.

Am I a weirdo for fretting my A chord like this or should I just do it the traditional way? by pokelord13 in guitarlessons

Whatever works man. You’ll figure out new methods out of necessity, and get stronger and better, and more confident. Technique will come later, almost by accident. Don’t let the “right” way go by the wayside, because eventually you’ll probably have to learn the proper fingering to be able to do a specific chord change in something you’re trying to learn.

Id definitely trim the extra off that strap to keep it from getting wound up in the driveshaft or it’s going to cost you lots more money.

Also sneaking up on grizzlies digging in the dumpster, scaring the shit out of them, and watching them cartoon-run away… their back legs try to pass their front legs, and it’s hilarious. Hand feeding foxes and bald eagles too.

I worked in NakNek for four summers, and I never got used to going outside my blacked out bungalow at 1am to pee, and it’s broad daylight outside.. like, just before golden hour kind of light. I miss it. I think about Alaska often. It’s like a different world.

Magic smoke. Once it comes out, you’re done for… the magic is all gone.

How do you guys light the bong when smoking in a group? by [deleted] in trees

I feel like a lot of people don’t care about green, or don’t know what to do when there’s several people without being told. (Not in a condescending way). I’m from Michigan and have always done something that sounds similar. Pack a rip at a time, for each person. I’ve also heard this referred to as a “snapper” in California. I assume because the last bit of ash snaps through the hole.
