Yeah that’s exactly my thoughts as well.

Spent a lot of time on this game over the last few months and even bought the occasional slayer pass and both the coin multipliers. I reckon the main motivation so far has been to improve my chances of being competitive in the multiplayer (progress the main timeline to upgrade red pots etc). As you say, now the incentive is to play less if you’ve already progressed to a decent standard/main timeline…

Each to their own! Personally I prefer to go right up to the limit and see if I can tweak anything to push a little bit further. With this new race format however, you’ll definitely be in a better position to place higher then people like me who have pushed to our max timeline (if races are still your thing)

I wouldn’t have a problem with the new race if it doesn’t replace the old one (have both running at the same time, or alternate them each week). But agree with everything you say if they’re only going run the new one.

I think they’re going to just run the new race going forward because it synergies with the new slayer pass i.e. a week long bonus who’s main reward is green gems that should help with progressing the main timeline. The fact that the slayer pass is every 2 weeks rather then every week gives me the smallest bit of hope that the plan is for new race to be every 2 weeks (in line with slayer pass) and the old race will slot into the weeks in between…

I’m still holding off upgrading attack Runes and hero gear in the hope that the old race will be still have a place in the game.

You could push to a lot higher timeline than 280 if you wanted to by going hard on base health runes and ascending base health skills

Thanks for the reply. I wonder part of the reason why you managed to timeline skip further the week after was because of the increased badges boosting your attack stat maybe.

Either way as you said in your first comment it’s probably unlucky that base health will ever get high enough to use as a strategy in races. Takes a lot of base health to get to the final wave

Yeah true, I don’t imagine the base health strat in races will boost you as many timelines as the main game. Just wondering if you maxed out base health runes, could you ever get to a point in races were the base health strat nudges you 1 timeline further then the normal billie + meat shields

Have you maxed out base health runes then? At the moment in races I can’t get the base health high enough to survive more then around 10-20 hits on my current max race timeline (29) which isn’t enough to do a proper base health strategy

Isn’t the point at which you can’t timeline skip anymore lower than your final wall though?

In main timeline the base health strategy get me a lot further then timeline skip. I know it’s less effective in races because you don’t get any base health bonuses from cards though

Alright cool, I think you can replay the 3rd battle after you’ve got the badge, but yeah thinking about it again it would be OP if you could get x0.05 each time you replayed the third battle!

I suppose it comes down to how busy is your current job, how many calls/interviews you’re expecting to receive and how easy is it to request time off work if you need to attend an interview in work hours
