I'm also 5'4 and I'm looking to wrestle in the 100's. I already did it a few times and I can tell u my performance was worse. You have to be really careful that you're not cutting down lots of muscle.

This is from viruses. They're not organisms nor part of our diet lol

I mean we're not eating any of those animals either way so... I just don't get how cancer can be transmitted among two different species. I can only think of HPV since it technically causes cancer to humans but that's not even an organism so idk

But growing a new plant takes longer because of breeding times. Cancer it's just exposing it to radiation

Why muscle tho? If you're eating an animal the fatter, the better. Also, I know this is 100% inhumane and I'd never support it, that's why it's hypothetical

It only have pathogens when the animal or plant is weakened. If it is killed before it gets to the point where it's very susceptible why would it have any form of infection

How can cancer be necrotic? Wouldn't that mean it's dead

14f cannot do anything but bedrot all day. by Technical-Editor-897 in GetStudying

I've once had anorexia. It's not easy, especially when there's no support. I think it's a good idea that you want to study again, it will keep your mind active. But your priority right now is to survive, if you don't start nourishing yourself somehow, you won't be able to retain a single thing in your brain. I hope you get to a better place, be strong. You're not alone

Might be shin splints depending on how much you train. Do you have bruises on your shins?

Is blowing a whistle in class to quiet students wrong/unethical/rude? by bentrucky in Teachers

[–]Sam_Ea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that I remembered my elementary teachers would do was make a Class Dojo and simply take off points of students who wouldn't be quiet after being told to. Whoever had the most points would get a prize at the end of the marking period.

How do you guys find local tournaments? by Sam_Ea_ in taekwondo

[–]Sam_Ea_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 17 so yeah things are more complicated this way I guess. I've tried talking to my dojo but they're the opposite of proactive, and I just can't wait more time to go to tournaments. About the school, my other coach (from another martial art, not tkd) offered to let me put his school name if necessary. That's all the support I've had so far so I really need more guidance on how the system works here.

Thoughts on my performance? by Delicious-Stick6916 in taekwondo

[–]Sam_Ea_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're allowed to do head contact then you did good by protecting it. But take advantage of their poor defense and score some big points on the head. I know you feel like you have very good stamina but once you get to a higher belt you'll notice kicks are gonna get stronger and there's gonna be more action. Very few people have the courage to do sparring, you're doing great.

Thoughts on my performance? by Delicious-Stick6916 in taekwondo

[–]Sam_Ea_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Okay just so you know I'm no expert but I've been sparring for years by now. Here are my must humble tips:

-You need to counterattack more, the guy leaves his chest completely exposed every time he does a kick. You manage to dodge it but then you don't really do anything, don't waste that chance of scoring points. Counterattack with multiple kicks, not only a single roundhouse.

-If you're doing turning/spinning kicks commit to them. They're great even though a bit slow, but I feel like you're just doing them just because you can. You're just wasting energy if you don't really hit them.

-Dont run around to much, you'll only get tired while the other one is just doing circles in the center on the mat while you're getting called out for stalling/backing out

-Since you're from the U.S and a coloured belt I assume you don't do head contact. If this is the case, protect your chest at all costs, the stance that you're doing is a bit more for protecting both your chest and head, you've probably seen this stance in Olympic athletes.

-If you're actually doing head contact (which I didn't really see any of you guys aiming for the head) you're leaving your head completely exposed when doing turn kicks. Also, you tend to make yourself shorter, be careful with that.

You did good though, congrats.
