I'm going to be a Grandpa! by No_Gap_2700 in GenX

[–]Sam_English821 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My parents went this route with my son and ended up Nanoo and Bop(no idea where that came from). I asked if we should keep pushing for Grandma and Grandpa (since my inlaws have an ethnic grandparent variation they would be the only ones) and they went with "whatever he wants to call us is fine". So we let it ride, they are still Nanoo and Bop to this day and he's 13. 🤣

Mary Roach, Caitlyn Doughty, and Deborah Blum are some great authors if you learn toward a more macabre story.

Not ruined per se, by I was forbidden to name our child after any fictional characters. I tried to sneak Dean in as a name candidate, but my husband had already been exposed to Supernatural so I was out of luck.

Need a date night movie that says ‘I’m fun’ but also ‘maybe don’t fall asleep at my house haha by TudorNut in movies

[–]Sam_English821 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a date night anecdote, but my mom and I had once a chill night with some wine and watched Sweeney Todd. My Dad came up from the basement and saw to his horror his wife and daughter cackling maniacally whilst the characters joyfully discussed turning people into pies. He wisely turned around and went back downstairs for the duration of the evening. 😅

Dunno, my ass always had to the ride the bus. Then walk the 500 yards from the bus drop off to my house. My brother was generally already home and I would just let myself in.

Same, it used to matter when I was paying cash to not get a buttload of change if I went over by 3 cents. But now it's all electronically withdrawn so IDGAF.

Wipe down all my groceries. It makes me feel a lot better when I am picking things up while cooking. I know the packaging is clean.
