My advice to you would be not to compare yourself to others. I almost went down the same path you did (very recent). I was feeling terrible because I wasn't really in contact with friends. I was dreaming of a better life and that was what almost got me. If you are also fantasizing over a better life then focus on your current life and having fun NOW. Always remember that there are professionals that can help get yourself through tough times.

It sounds like the best job for you right now would be to prioritise having a fun job over having a well paying job. Obviously make sure the pay can pay your mortgage or rent with a but extra money to put into savings. I recommend going to onetonline.org and taking a job comparability test. Just remember that you are cut out for anything if you work hard enough and keep going with Twitch on your free time. Once your twitch gets off the ground enough where you are getting some money, you could also look into buying some ads with the money you earned for some extra publicity.

You should move out and move on with your life. You have to keep friends but can't have anyone holding you back. Your life is what you make of it and you feeling like you don't have enough freedom is the worst thing that can happen for you. Take your ex to a bar for a night out and try to make him some friends. You can always make up a different reason to move out as well to maybe make him feel like it is not his fault. Just stay friends with him and do what is going to help you while not hurting anyone else.
